GT3 Dealer Allocation Thread

They should be offering 20% discounts off MSRP for no allocations.

Someone here said it best but his post got lost : it's all about egos when it comes to being the first kid on the block. If you're the dominant figure in a boardroom you certainly don't want to wait for your GT3 when you can have it now. And that's where the " over MSRP " game is coming from.
Personally, when that hot single model comes to my gym,I don't have to be the first to go out with her. Let her realize the other 2 were jerks and settle with me in the end.

Sapphire blue or aqua blue PTS? thoughts? Will the aqua blue hide the lines and vents of the car too much? I couldn't find any pics of a 991.1 gt3 in aqua (I think they only made one based on all the old posts that I looked through). Thanks in advance

So I'm new here, first post, but just want to share that I got an allocation from my local (small market) dealer, for Sep build, Dec/Jan delivery, 6 sp MT. I fully expected to get it at MSRP, because I got a GT4 allocation and they gave it to me nominally UNDER. But was shocked when they said I'd have to agree to a "modest" premium. I let them know my displeasure but ultimately agreed. They said most dealers are getting 2x the "market adjustment" that I agreed to, that I'm getting such a "modest" mark-up because I'm a local and a repeat customer.
It may well be that I could've rolled the dice on getting a later allocation at MSRP but ultimately decided the risk too great that my dealer literally might not get another. So I'm paying a little over but let them know it cost them my loyalty. That IF I ever buy another new Porsche I will be shopping dealers. My guy at the dealership was embarrassed to even have to tell me but I don't think the powers-that-be cared.
I hope I will feel a WHOLE lot better about the situation when I see what the flippers are getting and where the values are holding a year or two down the line.
Last thing - I've seen a lot more discussion on this thread about availability and pricing, but not much on build specs and configurations. I still have a couple of weeks - is there a thread I missed somewhere specific to 991.2 GT3 builds/configurations? Thanks, go easy on the noob....
