So I called and asked what the deal is with Canadian allocations and was told they are prioritizing cars for the US before for the 20% Trump tariff takes effect. So no worries, we just need to wait a bit.

Wow - asking over MSRP and still have allocations! I wonder why?

I honestly can't tell whether you're making a joke or whether that's a real thing that someone told you.

It is. But also... it sounds legitimately like it would be a good idea on Porsche's part!

I'm actually inclined to believe we're lower priority because we can't do much with the cars before April anyway so sending us December to March deliveries that could be going to Florida and California seems pointless.

Assuming of course that we still get a fair number of them!

Interesting theory there. Still would rather they assign me a build and let me wait.

There is talk in the Republican led US Congress to tax imports (all products manufactured outside the US) at 20%. The argument is that other countries tax our exports and we should balance the playing field. Also, it will help pay for the huge income tax cut being contemplated for corporations and individuals. Trump initially was against it but as we all know it flips on a dime.

Default An allocation a "little" over MSRP

A dealership in Virginia has 3 allocations remaining for GT3's and one with a July build and September delivery. I called, and the SA said the allocation is going for 50K over MSRP but if I offered 45K over MSRP he would present the offer but no guarantees. I have the money but you would have to be a moron to pay 45 or 50K over MSRP........
