Hi all, so I am on the 'List' for a 2018 GT3. My deciding factor will be how many they will produce for US distribution. Does anyone have any information? Do you think it will be just a one year run? Thank you for any information. Cheers....

Its going to be a 2 year run as of now. 2018 model and 2019 model.
It is possible they may change their mind and do a small run 3rd year, but as of now, they are planning only 2 years.

When dealers receive 10 or more allocations/
how large is the dealer vs the small guys like the guys im dealing with.
The dealer that iam on the list with received 1 so far and im number 3 on the list.
But i think they are very small dealer.
i just hope they get one for me and i hope they keep the word per
invoice .MSRP

Small dealers 8-20 cars per month.
Medium dealers 20-40 cars per month
Large dealers 40-80 cars per month
Top dealers 80-180 cars per month
These are general new car numbers including Macan, Panamera, Cayenne, 718, 911, etc. However GT3 allocation will heavily dependent on how many 911s and GT they have sold in recent quarters/year. So total sales is just a reference since a lot of dealers only sell SUVs etc.
Generally Top dealers that sell a lot of 911 will get a lot more GT3 allocations. As you can see some dealers are selling 10X what one of the smallest dealers are selling.

I'll just leave it at what I said without going into too much detail. You have a general idea now. You won't be able to calculate what the dealer will get in exact allocation, even dealers are often surprised and disappointed. Its not an exact formula. They're also adjusted with many other factors.

I was under the impression that some US dealers received their allocations for the remainder of 2017 and some US dealers only received their allocations during this disbursement and that there would be an additional disbursement of allocations in June/July (or anytime before the end of 2017)

I managed to sit down and speak with the Sales Manager at Newport Porsche. He was very nice and forthright about the process for a GT3 and how they go about it. They sold 14 918's and have customers that have purchased between 5-10 cars from them...I am not one of those lucky souls. But I would still like to order a GT3. I gave him my sob story and my history with Porsche both on and off the track. I live a mile away from the dealership and, as it turns out, have a lot of common acquaintances. He explained that they used to offer all cars at MSRP but recently have changed that policy to "market price". They will sell to their VIP/VVIP's at MSRP but it is really at his discretion. They are in the business to make money so they will spec out a few to have on their showroom floor. I get that, that is capitalism. They had a 911R, GT3RS, GT3, GTS Manual and GT4 on the showroom floor! We decided that after he takes care of his best customers he would get in touch with me. So I guess I have to wait......a long time.
If I bought a 918 and 5 other new cars from him I would hope that I get preferential treatment over some schmuck like me walking in with no history. I will just have to wait and be patient.

With a $50 mark-up on GT3 that put's it over $200k...um, no thanks. Just buy RS or wait for .2RS at MSRP (if you can).

I did mention that Wild Weasel really needs a car, and Tim did laugh! He said he has his fingers crossed for you!

Yeah, the timeline story was a bit garbled. They wanted the Order in to Porsche by May 6 - so we did that last night. Change date will be late May or early June. ED request is also in. They expect delivery in Leipzig or London early September.
