At least no idiots are coming into this thread and telling us that they'll less than 1,000 GT3s like they were saying there would only be 500-600 RSs in the US. My guess is that they will build over 2,000 .2GT3, probably a few more than .1GT3s.

Quite a few dealers got over 10 allocations.

Quite a few Northern California dealers have already received over 10 allocations each, just for builds in 2017? Is that what you're saying?

How many allocations did my favorite stealer get?

Cool, and I think you answered this, but how many were allotted to the US this last go around for June to Dec?

All numbers are for allocations July 2017 to December 2017.

However, I do not know of any Northern California Porsche dealer with 10+ allocations.

Curious how you received your allocation so early? Were you on a list for a while? Are you trading in your .1 to the dealer? Sorry for all the questions. If you feel more comfortable, you can PM me. Thank you in advance.

When dealers receive 10 or more allocations/
how large is the dealer vs the small guys like the guys im dealing with.

The dealer that iam on the list with received 1 so far and im number 3 on the list.

But i think they are very small dealer.

i just hope they get one for me and i hope they keep the word per
invoice .MSRP

Newport had a policy of selling new cars for MSRP, including the 991.1 gt3, but I'm not sure if that is still true- maybe someone can chime in. I tried to get a 991.1 gt3 from Walters, but they told me that they spec all of their GT cars (no buildable allocations) and they go to clients who have bought multiple cars from them (?msrp). I agree that Circle is the best in SoCal.
I managed to sit down and speak with the Sales Manager at Newport Porsche. He was very nice and forthright about the process for a GT3 and how they go about it. They sold 14 918's and have customers that have purchased between 5-10 cars from them...I am not one of those lucky souls. But I would still like to order a GT3. I gave him my sob story and my history with Porsche both on and off the track. I live a mile away from the dealership and, as it turns out, have a lot of common acquaintances. He explained that they used to offer all cars at MSRP but recently have changed that policy to "market price". They will sell to their VIP/VVIP's at MSRP but it is really at his discretion. They are in the business to make money so they will spec out a few to have on their showroom floor. I get that, that is capitalism. They had a 911R, GT3RS, GT3, GTS Manual and GT4 on the showroom floor! We decided that after he takes care of his best customers he would get in touch with me. So I guess I have to wait......a long time.

If I bought a 918 and 5 other new cars from him I would hope that I get preferential treatment over some schmuck like me walking in with no history. I will just have to wait and be patient.

Might be discounts on GT cars in the near future.... all these threads will seem quite silly then.
