Keaton, sounds like you are getting into Porsche GT world with 992.1 GT3. Congrats! I am venturing away from Porsche GT world with my Abyss Black 765LT.

You are getting a great value package with your 992 GT3; premier product quality, supreme reliability, best in the business gearboxes (either manual, but especially PDK), among best mechanical grip and putting power down to the wheels of any street car, high rpm NA sound and impeccable engine, very good driver connectivity for modern street car culminating in low depreciation. The 765LT offers more driver connectivity and rawness which was what I was after. Great to see McLaren fans on RL!

Beautiful car! Lots of Mac fans here. I own a 991.2 GT3RS and a 600LT. On the list for a 992 GT3RS and have a 765LT Spider on order. Porsche and Mac are my favorites!

I own a 765LT, which is my first McLaren. Great compliment to my p-car.

Cool to see other 765LT owners on here! The 765 is going to go down as one of the best cars ever made. It is unbelievable!

Yep. The 765LT is completely mind blowing. I love mine, and it kind of ruins you for every other car.

with the number of McLaren owners now on Rennlist, looking for some input regarding the McLaren Extended Warranty.
our 2019 570S Spider has been issue free, but warranty ends in a few months. 1yr is $3999 and 2yrs is $7399.

i'm sure those costs could be dwarfed by certain part failures / issues, but not seeing people posting about the warranty saving them.
what are you guys hearing and/or doing regarding the extended warranty?

Nice spec! Love that color. I am excited for my GT3 don’t get me wrong I have always wanted a Porsche! But just like you said, the 765 has completely ruined it for me. I have 0 desire to drive any of my other exotics now. There is not a single car from any manufacturer no matter what the price point I could possibly think of that comes close to this thing and how amazing it truly is.

What are the thoughts on a 600LT / 720s for a track weapon? Always been curious about how they actually perform on a power track.

Here are two good videos that might help you. The 720 is substantially faster than the 600, but the 600 is more of a "raw" feel. Just depends what you are looking for on the track. The 720 has serious speed on a track though, 918, P1, type speed. If you are able to get your hands on a 765 though, that blows the doors off of a 720 and any car really.

I have a 600LT that is making about 688HP. Compared to my 991.2 GT3RS at Road America it is much faster than the RS and feels more planted and stable in the turns. Especially high speed, hard braking zones, like turn 5.

For comparison, I was hitting about 150mph on the front straight in the RS and over 160mph with the 600LT. I think both are capable of more with a better driver, but that at least gives your a comparison of the same driver with both cars.

I love my RS, but the 600LT feels much faster and more fun to drive on track. The only thing the RS has over the 600LT is that it sounds absolutely amazing with the Dundon headers, intake, and loud muffler I have on it.

I have a 765LT Spider on order and will be able to compare directly with the 600LT hopefully next year.

Great to hear! 600LT might be a good option although 720's are feeling a little dated now but maybe that's me. How has the warranty / service / track prep been on the 600LT compared to the 3RS?

I've heard McLaren is pretty strict about modifications on their cars and voiding the warranty, so you will want to keep that in mind.

I had my windshield crack and it was covered under warranty on the 600LT. That's the only problem I've had and it was taken care of very quickly and easily. Driver picked up my car, took 2-3 days and I had it delivered back. Very painless.

Service has been great on both and track prep is easy on both as well.

720S dated? If anything it still feels ahead of its time.

600LT will be more fun on a track, 720S likely faster

Sell everything else, buy 765LT. People overuse the phrase "next level"

The 765LT is next level.. feel, speed, ability to probe the limit, it's a big wing short of a Senna for cornering speed but more fun to mess with and learn from.

From a feedback perspective it's bette than any Ferrari, and it's within inches of its big brother P1. Not just FAST, but FUN FAST.

Buy you with no options and you've reached Hypercar heaven with $400k.
