I've never really understood the criticism of brake feel in the Mac, but I guess it's just that I like a firmer pedal than most. I love the feel of the 570S and 720S...just drove an SF90 and the brake pedal was way too touchy and light.
Completely agree on the brake pedal feel. The CCBs on my 570S and C7 Z06/Z07 are reportedly the same parts, but the Vette is sooooo touchy on initial braking. Far too much initial bite. I feel like McLaren has configured the complete pedal travel into both throttle and brake: if you want all of either, then you’ll need to use all of the pedal.

I owned and tracked a C7 with CCB and the brakes felt very similar to the McLaren, no issue with initial bite, which is not surprising given they are supposedly the same material. this is why the mclaren (675) brakes feel great to me, but then they did on the C7.
I took my 600LT to the track on Thursday. It was the first time since I bought it and I almost hate to say it, but I was a lot faster in that car than my GT3RS. I knew it was faster in a straight line, but it also felt much more planted in hard braking and as a result I felt faster in the corners as well. I was so impressed that I put a deposit on a 765LT spider.
I still love my GT3RS, but the experience with the 600LT has definitely shifted things for me…

Thanks Gary for this. THIS is a real video comparing track times between cars. Nicely done and great to watch. Sure, there are weather, tires and other variables unaccounted for, but you'll never fix all other variables like an econ model.
#222/765 is on TFX trailer in MSO Abyss Black. Will post pics on DC when car is here mid-June.
Been a Porsche GT guy all my driving life,... 996.2 GT3, 997.1 GT3, 997.1 3RS, 997.2 GT3, 997.2 3RS (back into one this year; so happy with this car), 991.1 3RS, 991.2 GT3 (manual). Never looked or had interest in McLaren due to what I read and heard about reliability and depreciation.
Then dealer lent me a 720S last Christmas for a week and 500 kilometers. Wife and I were going for a 992 TTS for GT car. We were blown away at the 720S - the design, beautiful CF work, interior appointments, insane power, unapologetically turbo character (i.e. not 992 linear power delivery), driver connectivity, lightweight, easy to drive slowly and turn ***** to track and car feels very honed (weather too cold to heat up tires so all a guess). Only item was the high pitched buzzing sound from hydraulic steering rack. Enough for a dealbreaker for a GT car for me, but wife and 3 other 720S owners never noticed it.
Let the 720S go, but it had me intrigued through the holiday season. I was letting go my 991.2 GT3 and wanted a car I could enjoy tracking as well. Never thought about a 765LT, but dealer helped me get very last car and spec'd this January. Looking forward to experiencing the McLaren. It brought back the driver connectivity and emotion which I felt severely diminished from the 991.1 3RS onward. GT cars are awesomely competent on track, but less interesting to drive day to day and canyon carving.

GT3 Touring and the 675LT seems to scratch both itches for me, Touring was a spec build and picked the LT up at 60% of the 2016 MSRP so both should do ok for depreciation even with lots of weekends and track
How have used Mclaren prices been the past 6 months? Are they inflating like stink like the 991.2 GT3s? Still depreciating like in the past? Holding steady?

wow nice, you didn’t tell me you did it. Love to hear what you think.

From what I’ve seen they are going up. Maybe not as much as Porsche, but they are definitely up.
100% agree. Sold my 991.2 RS for a 720S coupe because my 675LT spider is so good I would never drive the RS. The 720S coupe is a nice complement to the 675LT spider. 720 feels hypercar special, but nothing is like the 675 spider
