I took my 600LT to the track on Thursday. It was the first time since I bought it and I almost hate to say it, but I was a lot faster in that car than my GT3RS. I knew it was faster in a straight line, but it also felt much more planted in hard braking and as a result I felt faster in the corners as well. I was so impressed that I put a deposit on a 765LT spider.
I still love my GT3RS, but the experience with the 600LT has definitely shifted things for me…

My son and I have loved the 600LT from day one.

100% agree. Sold my 991.2 RS for a 720S coupe because my 675LT spider is so good I would never drive the RS. The 720S coupe is a nice complement to the 675LT spider. 720 feels hypercar special, but nothing is like the 675 spider

thank you so much for your advice and so pleased with the 675LT, it is so alive and raw vs my previous excellent 570S. Steering and feedback through chassis is outer worldly and I am a huge fan of the design .... I had no idea how much carbon they put in this car ... incredible ... have to wait 90 days to acquire warranty and is 16K Cdn before anything they can find during inspection... car only has 3200 kms and feel like a new car ... service guy at dealer recommended because of low kms and living so time at dealers do a normal break in procedure with the car as a precaution so may hold off track days til the warranty is in place ... cheers

Thank you ......I’m still loving the pair and this is the 1st time in 10 years I’ve not purchased a new sports car. My wife and I just got back from a nice drive in the Speedster, it’s one of my fav cars of all times.

I'm intending to buy a 600 LT and I have some questions.
first, it's about the reliability and the issues you had to cope with especialy on tracked and kilometers LT (not garage queen).
what are this issues ?
are the Senna seat a good choice ? I'm assuming that they are for being well seated in the seats but are thery confortable ?

I'm not sure about the 600LT reliability, but the Senna seats are great...if you've got the right frame. I find the carbon buckets in Porsche GT cars comfortable as well, and others don't. I think it is personal preference and your frame size. My suggestion is to try them out if possible.

I love the Senna seats in my 600LT. They are even more comfortable than the LWB's in my GT3RS. They are a bit more difficult to get in and out of, but once you are in them they are great, especially on track. I just recently did my first track day in the 600LT and as I posted earlier I felt much faster and more confident in it than the GT3RS. I did notice that my windshield started developing a crack a few days after the track day. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with tracking the car, but it seems like it's a relatively common issue on them. Other than that, I haven't had any reliability issues after a year of ownership and over 2,000 miles, and have no regrets buying it. They are truly awesome cars.

I've been a big fan of the 600LT and if I ever decide to move on from my GT3 that is the car I want to give a shot. I too have heard the 'horror stories' about reliability etc. But I've also asked quite a few owners directly and most don't have any issues outside of the windscreen cracks, but I believe McLaren has a fix for it. As others have stated, just need to do your homework on the car, it really seems like you either get a good one or you get a bad one. I'd personally be looking for one with 8-12K miles that has actually been driven and doesn't have a laundry list of dealer visits. Hand build cars can certainly be finicky but very rewarding at the same time.

675LT, has been actually the most reliable model .....I, at 3300 miles no issues. They learned a ton from the 650.

Current porsche /mclaren stable includes a 993 RUF turbo R, 991.2 GT3RS, 992TTS, 720S and 600LT spider.
The porsches are fantastic as many of us know. Incredible in so many ways. The RUF is in a league of its own, but I equate the 720s to my tuned 992TTS and the 600LT to the gt3RS.
As much as I hate to admit it (Always been a huge porsche fan) for driving experience alone I think the Mclaren's have the porsche's beat and not by an insignificant amount.
The 720s is much lighter and faster than my 800+hp 992TTS and other than from a standing start quicker as well. Vs a stock 992TTS it's a very noticeable difference. The ride in the 720s is more compliant and visibility is as good if not better. If it didn't look as outrageous as it does I could easily daily the car. I bought it new and have 5K miles of seat time in the 720s and it has been issue free and completely reliable. It's the most impressive performance car I've ever owned by a wide margin.
The 600LT is a spider. I'm not a convertible guy but once I tried it, there was no question I wanted it over the coupe. You don't lose anything from a performance perspective given the carbon tub and the sound with the top down or rear window down is incredible. I also think it looks great top up or down. It is such a visceral car. Much much quicker in a straight line in any RPM than the GT3. Incredible steering feel. Comparable braking as well. I'd give an edge to the gt3 in terms of sound, but the pops and bangs in the LT are incredible especially given where the exhaust exits. It's also such an easy car to drive daily. very compliant, great visibility, etc. and this one has also been problem free. I've put 6K miles on the LT in just over a year and loved every mile.
Don't get me wrong. I love the porsches and will always be a fan, but for pure driving experience I find myself yearning for the Mclaren's 9x out of 10, which is why they are getting much more seat time than the porsches which I expect to continue.
