The conditions were quite poor, cold and wet. It will be interesting to see what the car can be in ideal conditions. Even in the best of conditions, the car will likely be a handful.

I spoke with a few Youtube friends of mine in the UK who were doing some reviews of the 765 at Silverstone, they all liked the LT but recommended the same thing. If you have a GT3 or 600LT, hang on to it and wait it out as the LT might not give you the same sense of fun factor as the other cars. Even in the cold damp temperatures at Silverstone, i heard there were some teething issues with the LT ie temp's all over the place and the tires would not operate in a good window unlike the 600LT.
I think I will wait it out and see what the used market says in a year or so. I love the look of the 765 but not enough to drop 400+k.

It sounds like the 765 LT is a bit unsorted, unlike the 600 LT. I agree with Harris Monkey, the 600 LT is the sweet spot for McLaren track cars. I absolutely love mine.

I was able to have a go in the 600LT recently, the only issue I had was the lack of "Theater" from the engine. Agreed it is quite the weapon but coming from my RS with a full JCR Race System, the noise and emotion of the 600LT is what lacked, the one i drove had an upgraded exhaust system too. I think for some of us monthly track junkies, the RS is probably the sweet spot due to cost to maintain etc, the 600 is certainly the weekend fun car on some good roads.

I have the full Dundon system, headers, loud muffler, intake, etc. on my GT3RS and it’s just absolutely epic sounding.
My 600LT has the Novitech exhaust. I think my 600LT might actually be louder, but the exhaust tone is nowhere near as nice sounding as the GT3RS. The only time the 600LT is better is on downshifts after a hard run it cracks like a rifle shot and you can see flames shoot out of the exhaust from the rear view mirror, which is awesome. Otherwise, the GT3RS has the 600LT beat in the sound department for sure.
Both cars are great though and I love both and will be keeping them for a while.

I agree about sound. It's hard to top the sound of a six cylinder Porsche on song, although I must say I think the McLaren sounds awesome when you are in track mode making high rpm gearshifts. I sold my GT3RS and I miss it sometimes but the McLaren has so many elements I like that keep me satisfied. However I must say that I just bought a 718 GT4 for some track duty as it's hard to beat Porsche when it comes to an solid, fast track car that's a blast to drive and relatively inexpensive to maintain. I'm looking forward to hearing the new Porsche with some Akrapovic goodies on it..
pop up some of your videos of gt3rs, 720, 600lt , etc. people shouldn’t talk so much about tracking , track ability without proving some of it with the cars that they are talking about . FWIW; I’ve significantly tracked all the cars that you guys are talking about .

I don't disagree with you, but for some (like me) they don't bother to record every lap they do in every car they drive.

My "stock" 675LT is 2X the track car (closer to 3X actually). And the OEM sound is epic - let alone the active aero and the alien technology back in 2016 that built the suspension.
Period.

The TG review was a classic case of driver not up to the car............
