uh, ferrari and mclaren don't set official ring times out of fear of being embarrassed by cars with far less (but honestly reported) horsepower. Ferrai refused to every allow a timed group track time of the holy trinity, 918, la ferrari, and P1 because they knew they wouldn't win.
Ferrari is mostly about show, not go. Mclaren makes more performance oriented cars, but even they don't achieve the track times you would expect based on their reported HP/weight.

Hint: never.
So how or why are Porsche’s ‘Ring times relevant if they can’t be reproduced or replicated in the real world by regular Joes and Josephines?
At least with 0-60 times or top speeds, those marks can be replicated in customer cars with regulate customers like you and me.

The hallmarks of the Holy Trinity are:
1-Longevity: All three brands are very old, and all three have been in continuous operation since inception.
AP - 1875
PP - 1839
VC - 1755
Rolex - 1905 (Wilsdorf & Davis)
2-Market Segment / Finishing:
All three brands have (almost) exclusively produced nothing but high end watches for (arguably) discerning clientele; Rolex was historically a tool watch manufacturer that harnessed a brilliant marketing strategy and continued iterating its products, making them gradually better in each successive generation (what other company does that remind you of?)
3-Ownership:
AP - Owned by the descendants of Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Piguet; i.e., family owned
PP - Owned by the Stern family since 1932
VC - Has had a multitude of owners since its inception in the mid 18th century; currently owned by Richemont (this is typically argued as a knock against VC’s status versus the other two brands)
Rolex - Owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation
There is nothing - per se - bad about Rolex, but it’s not in the same grouping as the other three brands. Other venerable watchmakers who are NOT included in the Holy Trinity include: Journe, Lange, Laurent Ferrier, Mille, and so on.

He distorts comments to make us defend the all mighty 3RS (I never said the the 3 or 2RS were a wanna be car trying to be a 918 - just commented on the 981 spider being a hairdresser car).
And comparing a 570s mclaren which is by my definition a more fancy hairdresser car with his 3rs to determine what's exotic is unfair as that was not the premise of my argument either. But that's what trolls do.
Simply put - take the cars out to the track and see what they to you. And ensure the comparison is fair so if it's a 2 or 3RS compare it with a 600 or 675LT,
but if it's best hairdresser car, pls go out and compare the 981 spider wit the 570 spider - there will be no winners.

You can argue all you want about whether the 3rs is an exotic or not but there isn’t a chance in hell that Rolex is or was ever considered a part of the Holy Trinity of watches.

Next purchase will likely be a PP. Simple but classy.

I have no clue what your talking about in your disjointed post and certainly never thought your posts warranted a response, well except for this one.

hilarious thread. I love reading it during lunch and again in the evening. And to top off the douche-baggery, now we are talking about watches and watch collections! Need some pics of people's watches beside their car keys. That would be the creme de la creme.
