The more you post about watches and cars, the more obvious it becomes how ignorant you are on the subject.
Yup. That’s me insufferable. I clearly have no clue about high end watches or cars. I’m realizing that now. I only own beaters and non exotics that I’m delusional enough to say are exotics so what do you expect? . I’m here to learn if I can though. 🤔

I am taking my RS to a local day care today to confirm it’s no exotic.

it’s been a painful couple of days for me here. It’s true what they say. The truth hurts but somehow I feel I’ve been set free in a way. Thanks guys. 👍

You own a Ulysses Nardin and a Chopard and think that makes a watch collection. Enough said.

Meager. Yes...but it’s the life’s work of a simple meager pedestrian man ....but a man can dream can’t he? Lol.

And all those PP numbers 5408 5576 5012? All very confusing. It’s easier just goin to CVS or Costco and pickN a purty Rolex out of one of them spinnin watch displays.

Unless someone posts pics of their Timex. My (retired) Casio calculator watch is the lowliest watch on RL at the moment and yet I'm proud of that in an odd sort of way.

I'm wearing something so exotic, that most plebeians wearing mainstream Pateks and Rolexes have never even gotten to see one let alone touch one.

^ That’s nice. No clue what it is ( no surprise there right?).

My Seiko. Band tore years ago when hitching the Oxen to my cart. So just made lateral move to beater Rolex.

I must be a loser. I wear Citizen EcoDrives. They look nice, keep perfect time (updates to atomic clock every night) and never run out of batteries.

I have yet to spend money on a high end watch. I'd like to get one eventually, but I have too many other irons in the fire.

Oh, and that sundial watch LOL!

It’s a diving watch by a 78 year old watchmaker that’s famous in some parts of the world, with an in house movement, and some innovative case design features like a crystal designed to deform under pressure for improved water resistance, and a bayonet mount caseback and sintered rubber rear gasket that allows repeated disassembly for service or adjustment without compromising water resistance. They only made a few hundred of this special edition model, making it ultra exclusive...

(and it was cheaper than a Seiko 5 )

As far as the Day Date- I think what some are trying to say is that its a nice watch no doubt but...how do I say it.....a bit pedestrian? A bunch of people in my family own one. It was a right of passage. When you made a bit of money, you buy a Rolex Presidential. Too small for my wrist personally but a decent watch nonetheless.
Every time I see a day date, it says to me that "I am a 65 year old Hong Kong ex-pat in the U.S. who still believes he can get any gong nui in bed with a bottle of Remy."
