Where is the not clear part?
Porsche clearly stated the 911R will be limited to 991 units. Everyone knows that, perhaps you missed the press release and all the people talking about it after.
Porsche also clearly stated that the GT2RS is not a limited production car, did you miss that bit of news too?
At least Porsche doesn't adjust their stated production number after like Ferrari and McLaren. P1 gone from 500 to 375, a 'limited' 675LT suddenly gain another 500 of the convertible versions, then suddenly there is this extra power version on top. Ferrari keep making 'post-production' cars for their so called number limited ones, but won't admit they did it.
Who is more up front about production numbers now?

ADM is a US phenomenon only, and I'll bet that it is illegal for Porsche to stop dealers marking up. In RoW, the official dealers can't mark-up, but the secondary market premiums for low mileage cars are even worse! It's the demand that is driving the pricing, and IMO a large chunk of the demand is coming from people who want to make money, or at least not lose it. Nothing wrong with that, but for some it's a primary reason and they will disappear quickly when things turn, and I imagine that isn't far away.

Three Wheelin'
Nico Rosberg on GT2RS
The subject caption of this YouTube caught my attention. YouTube personality Salomondrin had Nico Rosberg (Retired Formula 1 Racing Driver and Champion) as guest driver. Fast forward to 15:00 through 16:30. He knows the wait list for GT2RS in Europe is already long and he states it will "Break the Nurburgring" laptime record.

Everyone knew Mac Lambo would build roasters SV and 675LT - keep in mind these companies had roadsters already in their line up.
Again - your perspective doesn't mean it's mine or reality read the thread it shows guys frustrations trying to get an allocation.
Salmondrin or whatever his name is stating the 2RS Ring time and wait list - it is what it is my guess is all the 918 owners knew the same. I will wire you 350K you guarantee me a GT2RS W package so if you can't send me 450k ... since you know what my dealer does not and can not guarantee I am sure we can get 10 guys offering the same point is you can't and you won't!

a pic. (with sofas (and a leaning number plate: "hey trainee, another GT2 came in... hurry up screw the numberplate-adapter on that thing - lets go out to skid and shred! ))
and some numbers:
to keep in mind the comparison against the 720s:
McLaren 720s
1.283 Kg
0-100 2,9/ 0-200 7,8/ 0-300 21,4sec
still i guess the GT2RS will be faster on any track. Porsche Magic.
but as soon there will be a 720 LT in two years; this will be the thing!

but Ferrari was never the fastest in real world testing.
i guess they will also not be with the 488SV/GTO/Speciale. It will be presented within Q3/2018 what i know.?
in EU you can buy already a 488 for exact the same price as a 991.1 GT3 RS.
keeps me thinking about... but yea... the NA love...
comparison of those two:

if we compare HP+torque and the laptimes-advantage - again Porsche Magic...

You are just bitter that you passed up on the 918 and and lose access to specialty Porsche cars, like the so called money making 911R, and now at the mercy of your scumbag dealer.
Everyone and their mother knew North American 918 customers will have first dib on anything, that's what the VIP program is for. A reward for Porsche's best customers that had faith in them with the car, great for bypassing those scumbag dealers. Trust me, the dealers hated the VIP program too, cause it takes away their ability to charge market adjustment on those customers.
PCNA's dealer network is the one at fault, not the 918 customers. They are the one that didn't communicate how many Rs are left for non-VIP customers cause they just want to flip them to their biggest whales.
Because of your laws, PCNA have no control over the dealers, unlike everywhere else in the world. Perhaps you should write to your Congressman about changing the laws.
As for the GT2RS, I am only getting one, why should I sell it to you? That doesn't make sense especially when I am not in the car flipping game, all the cars I got from the VIP program are still in the garage.
Order book for the GT2RS for North American is not opened until March 2018 and production of North American cars doesn't start until May 2018 anyway.

I stated that prior it's about production allocation for non 918 owners - you just don't like it and if a few extra Aperta's were produced that sell for 3x msrp like the Porsche R did where is the R selling at today vs an Aperta or La Ferrari vs 918 etc.
