gt2rs last time was not priced in line with the other cars either, msrp on base 997.2 gt2rs was around $250k and 997.2 gt3 base was what, msrp $115k? RS was 140k? I don't remember all of the 7.2 msrp, but the 2rs has always been out there

The 2RS is 1.55 bar max and the Turbo S Exclusion Series is 1.32 at 9.0:1 and 9.8:1 compression ratios.

Thanks Whoopsy. At least they are telling you something. Porsche's playing hard to get is getting old. Like dating the prettiest girl in town, too much work.

I have my UK and German contacts working for me. I know my chances getting one in the US is very slime. But question. Why do some of you guys sell them so fast? Just for profit? Seems like to me people love the new GT 911 cars for the moment. Live in the moment. Then quickly move on. I hope this turns out how I feel it will. I hope it is as special as I believe it is.

991GT2RS vs. Turbo gearing:
1. gear: 3.91
2. gear: 2.29
3. gear: 1.58
4. gear: 1.18
5. gear: 0.79
(1-5 gears are the same as in the 991 Turbo)
7. gear in the GT2 RS: 0.67
7. gear in the Turbo: 0.62
secondary/Axle/Diff:
991 GT2 RS : 3.96
991 Turbo: 3.44
991GT2RS speeds at 7200rpm:
1. : 62 km/h
2. : 105 km/h
3. : 152 km/h
4. : 203 km/h
5. : 241 km/h
6. : 284 km/h
7. : 335 km/h
the vmax of 340kph will be reached based on the 1,5% longer rolling circumference of the tires at those speeds.

Ratio MPH kph

2 2.29 66 106

4 1.18 128 206
5 0.94 160 258
6 0.79 191 307
7 0.67 225 362
Note that modern radials do not grow anything like 1.5% in diameter due to centrifugal forces.
Interestingly Flacht generally tries to gear vmax in top to be at the engine's power peak. The listed 7000 RPM HP peak would equate to 219 mph with this gearing, it's only turning 6750 rpm at 211 mph. It's unlike them to leave that performance on the table, so either the power peak is wide and flat or perhaps the car can go considerably faster (pull downforce off the car carefully and I'd bet you could gear it out).

Someone should fork over the $3500 for "deviated" stitching in black. The deviated stitching thing has been played out IMHO. Of course, I am a mere mortal and there is no way PCNA lets me buy one, but if I did I would tick that box and skip the red interior.

Exactly! But do they not realize this isn't a numbered car? Who's going to pay that kind of money when you really don't have to wait at least the next generation. No thanks!! One of my brokers in UK told me he has a great connection with a Porsche contact. Maybe we will see what happens. But if I can get it starting at MSRP what is the point? I love the car. But paying those prices makes you think about that idea again. "You're paying for a GT3 RS with a Turbo S Engine. "
