How can you not get an allocation with that car going to be its stablemate?

Yeah my local Swiss PC said they got one single GT2 RS allocation and have a waitlist of 12.

Porsche needs to up the msrp on the next gt3rs to 500k. Should have done that with the gt2rs, then allocate to the highest best offer bids from below. Thanks to Kuroda, Draghi, and Yellen, these msrp's are obviously way below market.

And nobody will by the next RS @ $500k and porsche is screwed.. You really think this is the solution?
The logical answer is to have Porsche sell directly in order to identify it's true customers.

How is it screwed? Say it receives 3000 worldwide bids ranging from 250k to 450k. It fills them. Profit. There are auction models that even allow for all 3000 to go at the same (high) price and still prevent low-ballers from participating. If you want to ensure you get the car, you better put in a bid that is sure to rank in the top 3000.

And yes, direct bids to Porsche would be best, but could go through the dealers, as well, then aggregated and allocated by Porsche. Same diff. Dealers get 8% of each deal for their service.

Hmmm. This would be great ^. My .1GT3RS would now be worth $350K easy.

I love how the passenger's head bobbles around while the driver is all business and locked into position.

100% agree. We're in a period of financially engineered prosperity akin to a game of musical chairs, with the resulting asset bubble having a big impact on car prices. While I don't agree with the $500k starting point, I think a dutch auction format would be a great way to make sure that the limited production cars get to the people who value them most as owner/drivers, rather than speculators. Set a base cost on the car and each option, start at a factor of 130 percent for the first delivery and slowly go down until the entire run is sold. Based on the address of each bid winner, the car gets allocated to their closest dealer. And no sales to any dealers/dealer principals - only individuals for titling in their name.

Cool vid. Funny that he doesn't want the risk of getting in an F1 car anymore but he's okay doing 208 on the Ring....

Watch the passenger head each time the drivers shifts. Painful but hilarious.
