I get the 2:12 now, thanks. I had seen that in the car but didn't see it in video.
AP said very early pre-production model.
They have still quite a bit of testing and development to do in setup.
I like none of the offered colors.
I guess if that doesn't change Silver or black with black interior.
I do really like the gold wheels as on my 997RS (for sale).

Why not do a cool PTS color? Are you thinking no PTS will be available on the GT2?

Normally I'm very quick to choose a colour but I'm finding the GT2 more difficult. I think the hood and roof stripes with the Weissach package are throwing me off. That, and the fact that I think the colour should match the personality of the car (black in this case).

hahahaha!! dealers work fast saying limited production bs.
I can buy one and really, really want , but at that price I won't be able to afford it. my motto is , if I'm not driving it, they look best at the dealers showroom and my money is not for showroom floor.

I think for many a car of that price without a motorsport engine is a letdown, plus no mid-engine. Anyway, is it official it'd be no limited production? Having said that, doesn't have to be limited to the production capacity? That being the case, would they continue building them for as many years as necessary, if their production capacity is the 1,000 (globally) number thrown around? I personally don't see demand for this car beyond capacity (whatever that is), but applaud Porsche for maximizing their profit, and eliminating losing customers to other brands due to not getting an allocation. But think they went a bit overboard with a rear-engine car that can be bought for 1/3 in its lowest guise. We'll see how it sells
.

Seems like a great car. Hope it smokes the opposition...but it doesn't really interest me even though I can easily afford one in case you are wondering. I am actually more excited by the prospect of a 525hp, 4.2l 3RS than this.
Largely because I have reached a point where I realise that, for me at least, anything much beyond 500hp is useless on the street. You just cannot use it. Indeed, the car I get most excitement from on the street is my 964 RS with only 260hp. And while I am sure the GT2 will be awesome on the track, I am more than happy with the GT3 family of cars. So I won't be fighting for an allocation.

this is my perspective on those whom say Porsche Turbo = and complain . I think possibly over-sensitive. If you're a true Porsche petrol head, you would know that before the 996 gt3, Porsche was NOT known for their N/A motors. They were known for turbo cars. Ferrari is/was the king of N/A from 1990s- 2014. Highest revving motors with most BHP / liter and best sound. If you TRULY want the best N/A, Ferrari. Enjoy the car it's a beauty and restores the kingdom of the 911's. GT2RS on top. A turbo.
Side note, you don't see Ferrari selling less 488s vs. 458 and no one complaints about that turbo. All i hear people say is how much better it's and faster.

The 3RS and the introduction of the 488 is what brought me back to Porsche. I didn't like the idea of a turbo in a V8 Ferrari and now Porsche had a 9k redline screamer. Unfortunately, I was too late to the party to get one without a big markup.
I always wanted a GT2 and so here I am with an allocation. I have never owned a Turbo sports car (only a heavily modified Bentley GT/Boat which doesn't count) so what the hell.
I would consider selling the GT2 for 3RS, unless the lag is minimal and the power is too intense to give up. High revving NAs are becoming more and more rare... special.
Good to know! Thanks!

Does the Weissach pack delay delivery for cars in the U.K. and Europe?
