Very disappointing the sound from the GT2.

Hmmm, thanks for calming me down, I was actually getting excited for the first time in many years. The turbo lag in my GT2RS was definitely a bummer on track. Made it challenging to drive well and fast. Not charming Didn't matter much puttering around town.

Would have been interesting to ask if the new car pulls boost and becomes a heavy low-revving GT3RS when driven hard for a few minutes in ambients much over 80f. That was a bummer too about the previous car. Probably why they added the water injection, to help address that very issue.

Regardless, an interesting spec.

It's better sounding than the 997.2 GT2 RS.

You're all nuts if you're comparing it to a GT3.

Hard to believe it's over 2x a GT3. Doubt I'll be getting one, but I wouldn't mind some of those carbon parts on my RS, such as the intakes and front fender vents.

Trakcar already touch this subject but still: AP mentioned that they got about 6 months of work on the car.

I watched it going up the Goodwood hill climb and it sounded nothing special. But I must say that at the same time F1's was starting up in the background so maybe the context was wrong.

BTW: first time I met AP and Walliser: Both top blokes and so friendly and nice.

didn't they do this experiment with the original 996 GT2 jack the price up super high and see what happened. Is it possible to grey market import a euro spec car or buy from canada to save the 30-40k us markup?

The 991 GT2 RS is finally priced to perfection by VW!!!
Now, you have to ask yourself if you would rather have a Lambo or Ferrari for that money.
