Good to see you're enjoying the car!

Here's my lap in a GT4 from the same event at SPA

I see the issues you're mentioning on the GT4 but I enjoyed it massively anyway. Also a first timer at spa.

Here's a very quick lap in a GT4 with a passenger. No info on tires/alignment.

Ah, did see a few GT4, White One and grey? German plates? Nice lap.

That other car video I seen before prior to SPA event as I then thought I drive my GT4. Then GTS got deliverd and drove that. I have only driven Nurburgring and smal short 2.3-3.2km flat tracks in my GT4. And with my drivingstyle its to understeery. SPA never drove in my GT4 but it might be better here due to fast sweper corners?

Please give your input.

I often see sport auto test as its a god reference due to same driver, and on that short hockenheim 2.6km track M4 GTS was faster than GT4(stock cars) (GTS 1.09.06 vs GT4 1.10.1min, so 0.5 sec)

We might see each other next year, when we try to better them times.

White one. Stickers on plates.

GT4 is definitely understeery on the exit of medium speed corners ( around 100kph).

In the fast sweepers like Eau Rouge, double left, Blanchimont - much much better.

In the slow corners like the chicane or la source it was always a matter of balancing the car on throttle so that the rear was sliding out ever so slightly.

Corner entry is never an issue - the turn-in is great and it's very easy to get some oversteer at that point.

Could do the approach to banchimont flat but coasted there not to have to change up to 5th and then back to 4th when going throught the slower bit.

Was running the stock alignment so there's some time to gain in that department.

Thx!
Now that I have built some frame of reference as to the roadcar laptimes at Spa, I'm even more satisfied with the result

it seems that on GrandTour probably they will compare 991GT3RS vs. M4GTS?

WOW,the GTS got hammered on the Grand Tour! Besides the fact it is ugly,it also performs terribly! What was BMW thinking?!

I spoke personally with "The American", race car driver Mike Skinner this weekend at the Chin Sebring track event. He is here driving a 1000 hp race truck which does a 2:05 lap but that's a different story. I told him I enjoyed his part of the show and asked him if this BMW was as much of a handful as Clarkson made it out to be. He said it was tough for him as a Pro driver to control it. He said he pities the novice driver who buys it for track use. Apparently his problem is rapid unexpected onset of power which makes the car a handful. Sounded like he was describing the old 930 Turbo issue. As for the GT3 RS, he said he loved it. The power is so smooth linear and predictable that this is a car someone can buy to track confidently into their 70's or 80's. He kept repeating what an amazing car it is. Speaking of his fast pickup truck, when it's not de-tuned, he said he hits 210 mph on the back straight here at Sebring. They literally had to place metal braces to support the windshield at those speeds. I can attest from being passed by that thing several times that it's a monster. He is involved with Wounded Warrior charity work. Seems like a real stand up salt of the earth type guy.

I wonder if the reviewers maligning the car's track manners are actually testing it with the suspension lowered to track settings?

Wouldn't matter one way or the other if the issue is what Skinner stated it to be.

Look at the Porsche GT3 and GT3-RS spoilers, now look at the BMW. Enough said
