The front driveway scrape scene sent chills down my spine. Then all those speed bumps.

This is impressive.
Alfa Romeo just posted their full ring lap of the new Giulia Quadrifoglio 4 door sedan doing a 7.31.87 at the Ring. Great lap too.
I can't help but think this is quite impressive when you look at the effort made in the m4 GTS, GT3 and GT4 etc and they partly go faster than a family sedan....
I have an order for this car but was a little undecided. Not now...

Nice, Macca! I'm waiting for the Italian Delivery option before I leap.
Did you choose Manual or Auto (is it a Torque Converter or DCT)? Go for the carbon bucket seats? I think it's the most interesting choice in a sedan.

Guadrifoglio! Four leaf clover.
Grant, I have an order via UK dealer. Will pick up in London and start my Euro adventure from there.
The paddle shift auto is the only option we have in RHD land, ve no choice. That being said Im happy with it as the reviews suggest its the better box for keeping the engine in the "zone". To be honest its a daily driver (would replace Focus RS which hasnt even been built yet!) so Im happy with the self shifter option. However the GT3 could come up for review late next year as I think I need a manual box.
Yes I went red brake caliper, steel rotors, sparco full manual seats, no stereo upgrade but did add CF steering wheel (black interior with red stitching) and the luggage tie down brackets (gonna need them driving in italy!).
The only caveat on the whole deal is the wife. I havent told her yet! She keeps wondering when I will get a job to pay for this stuff but I think Id rather go broke in a Giulia QV in Europe!
Im really impressed with this car. It has character and Im missing that these days with many cars.
P.S. Its a ZF 8 with TC. They say they may do a DCT with it but the reviews Ive read say this is the best implementation of that box yet (its used on AMG etc) and the shifts are basically DCT fast (not quite true as 150ms but pretty good). Also better behaved for daily duty etc

I think it will be something quite different and special. It will not be perfect, but actually i think that will be the key to this car success, especially in your home Germany where perfection and precision is prized and expected but also sometimes leaves you wanting for that little bit more, something more "human" (as us humans we make errors too and are not perfect).
The white with green and white stitching, steel rotors, red calipers and carbon seats will be perfect for you Nur93. I think with this car you will be as quick as GT4 but you will need to work a bit harder for your fun and that in itself for someone like you will make it more rewarding!
P.S. I will email (Manu) Emannuale (Powerslider) as Im fairly certain he will want one of these to take around the Ring. I have seen him drive like Fabio in this video and know the car will suit his style so its quite possible he too could get close to the factory time.
The factory time was on the Pirellli Corsa tyres the car is supplied with.

Since you are speaking here about M4GTS, Giulia and Ring I would like to share what I wrote in another Forum. Just my opinions of course..
I studied the videos of the two lap times and arrived to some conclusions..Giulia with a better planted front end (265?) would probably have got the same lap time of the GTS.You can study the two videos simultaneously and see how and where Giulia looses seconds...I made this job and if you click below at the right time, as I suggest, you will notice the relative intermediate lap times and where Giulia loose and why..Then in my opinion even the power is similar looking at exit speeds and so on. Now considering that Giulia is heavier, four door saloon, with less downforce and slower gear and that the gap is not so much, I would ask myself what a GTA Giulia version could offer ...not considering a coupe version since just rumored ano not a reality today...
The lap time for GTS starts at 0:03 sec. and at 1:19 for the Giulia.
0:55 GTS : 51 sec lap time
2:11 Giulia : 52,04 lap time (1 sec slower)
2:02 GTS :1:58
3:20 Giulia :2:00 (2 sec slower)
4:10 GTS : 4:06
5:30 Giulia :4:10,55 (4,65 sec slower and this means that Giulia lost almost all the sec. in this first 4 minutes)
5:47 GTS : 5:43
7:08 Giulia : 5:48,8 (5,8 sec slower, max gap)
7:11 GTS : 7:07 275 km/h speed
8:31 Giulia : 7:11,64 275 km/h speed and 4,64 sec slower.Giulia has gained in this fast section
final lap :GTS 7:27,88
final lap Giulia :7:32 (4,12 sec slower).

Thanks macca, i always liked to go around the ring in 4 seat cars. Had loads of m5:s and RS4/6 avants etc. But this is propper sporty 4 seat car, kind of like that whole concept.
This means alot coming from an accomplished Ring "wheel man" like yourself mate!

I need to refrace something, I Said that i wanted a more up to date gearbox in m4 Gts! Well not anymore, when fully lit at hardest setting, its propper sweet gearing hard and fast. Also give solid conection and feel, still paddel box. Must say I was surprised how fast the Gts is in a straight line.
I think these cars got a nice visit from the family based 4 series 👍
