Mustang 350R is ~80k once you factor ADM.
Cayman GT4 is 100k. But it's not as fun as______
Viper is 135k. But it's a dodge.

The M4 GTS is a great track car. Runs and hangs with a 150k GT3.

I'm not a brand snob at all and can respect that the GTS is a great offering from BMW.

I really liked the cockpit. Nice materials there: More race then business.
But can BMW BE TRUSTED AS A COMPANY. Look at the i8 fiasco. Early adopters got screwed, secondary guys did real well, next car all electric and to create excitement they offer more colors now. I drove them for 15 years probably 12 cars, every M car and i8 and never again.
Porsche rules.

Was invited to VIP carrera cup and STCC(swedish touring car championship)
quit fun event as it driven on a horse-racetrack, hence they accually put tarmac over the horsetrack and create race track mid city center. Few days later all back to normal.

We was allowed out on track, mind you we did just Cruise and not at al drive hard. Just car parade.

On short hockenheim track, 2.6km the Gts is 0.5 sec faster than gt4, same driver(different day)

In motortrend i think it was same same laptime as GT4

After driving M4 GTS on streets a few days it was time to switch to GT4.
A few initial impression...

. Belive it or not, but you sitt lower and closer to the flor in M4 GTS. I can even manually with tools in hand adjust M4 GTS seat even lower. Thats racecar right there.

. GT4 feels very slow in a straight line after M4 GTS

. Superior seat comfort in M4 GTS, still support same same in both cars.

. Even I got ceramic brakes on M4 GTS, the GT4 on pagid RSL give more initial raw bite. Brakes on both car seems very solid, not gone hard in M4 GTS just yet, but its solid braking.

. Instant conection is so nice in GT4, first few feet car and I hook up and thats hard to match in any flappy paddel gearbox. If in soft mode in M4 GTS, its not conection as GT4 for sure. But, if I ramp all up race mode hardest setting gearbox, sound and steering, well it accually give much better feel on instant roll out first few feet.

. GT4 is loud, at least I did think so before driven M4 GTS, wow, GTS is accually so loud I wounder how BMW got it on the street in that mode, its very loud for a factory stock car. In a very nice race way.

. M4 GTS got superior chassi in KW 3 way suspension, instant its something special on roll out when a cars is on these suspension I think. GT4 PASM street and track setting is very nice, but I would say you feel M4 GTS is more special in its feeling thru the suspension.

What stand out is how on earth did BMW M make porky (ca. 1600kg full fuel no driver) GTS feel so light on its feet? Its a porky car, but it dont feel that way, amazing👍 GT4 is 1430kg full fuel no driver.

GTS recaro is better to sitt in, same same support but much nicer seat comfort, thats how I feel it.

Overall GTS is a big car vs GT4.
GT4 is loud and very nice sound, GTS is louder and very nice sound.

Suspension and ride is superior in GTS, those KW 3 ways feels very nice on the road. Only driven street setting. When I lower M4 GTS 1.5 cm down it will transform to be overall better on GP tracks vs now if go on GP track when street setting(street setting is for Nurburgring)
10/10 full pace all ESC off that GT4 is a peach, man I like it. Still my GT4 is stock and understeery like a pig. Hate that. My first impression is GTS will never understeer that much like GT4. And GTS give me signal that it also will be a peach at 10/10 ESC off.

GTS go like stink in straight line vs GT4, feels weird no turbo lag, just drag you forward, fast. I am not a fan of turbo engine, rather like my Old M3 CSL, GT4, GT3 etc, but this engine is special in its own ways, its weird how fast it is. Maclaren 570S did feel laggy, i dont know if I was in wrong mode. GTS is no turbo lag i think. I would prefer a faster more up to date gear Box in GTS.

Oh, might ad, I very much like that BMW did make this car, its in many ways crazy fun that they did put it out. It take some tru entusiasts to pull this of, I mean it like a race car with plates in some respects. That rear wing at nr. 3 angle Max downforce for wet track for instant, you hardly see out of rear when that angle is up. Haha, and that front splitter, when out it could kill some One crossing the street:-). Yes I know we should not drive street fully out, I dont care:-).

That sound in sport +, thats like so loud people get angry, GT4 cant pull that off:-)

I salute BMW M that they did manage to put this beast on the streets in the first place, is It really allowed?👏😆
How many street cars got KW 3 ways from factory? Not many, god on you BMW! This car is special, and I very much like that👍

It feel more of an event to drive M4 GTS, I only been to street and dont Max out M4 GTS at all. Lets get back to how I feel after lap Nurburgring.

I kind of like GT4 thin steering wheel better than fat M4 GTS.
What more, hmm that water, lets see, I order alot anyway😆

If motortrend got it same same fast as GT4, well I can live with it. GT4 is a fast car, and on short hockenheim 2.6km sport auto was 0.5 seconds faster in M4 GTS vs GT4, same driver different day.

On Nurburgring sport auto was ca. 6 seconds faster in M4 GTS vs GT4, also same driver different day. ( very hot, 30 degrees in shade when GTS lap, GT4 better cooler wether)

in the end It how much I get out of these cars that matters for me, as well how the feel.

One thing got me thinking, all pictures I see of sport auto M4 GTS the rear wing is Max downforce, very steep angle at that nr. 3 Max aero setting. Thing is, that setting is for wet track, not dry track. Then I see vmax on Döttingerhöe when sport auto lap M4 GTS, its 275 vs BMW factory lap ca 280, also uphill kesselchen sport auto is ca. 5 km slower, and other fast sections. I dont know, but that wet rear aero setting will slow M4 GTS down on fast tracks vs nr. 2 wich is rear aero for dry track.

Must look that up with sport auto. I see many M4 GTS on Max nr. 3 wet track aero on bone dry tracks, BMW dealers dont know jack.

Very few newer bimmers get it "right". Although when they do, it is something really special (Z3M coupe comes to mind). Great to hear your feedback on the GTS, I really want to try one out.

Also must ad that even I always drive my GT4 all ESC off i first when new did try it out how ESC trigger in car. Even ESC trigger 6-8 times on a short lap 2.4km(did test it)
you hardly feel it in the GT4. I know for a fact that many driving GT4 on track with ESC ON do think they are not trigger ESC. I would say many do trigger it, but dont feel it.

Porsche app do tell that story very well.

Now to M4 GTS, this ESC I feel trigger much more than GT4. That might have something to do with its so much more powefull. looking forward to try Moore hard driving when I get car broken in. That seems importent to BMW that I do easy 2000km then service.

Who buys that these days anyway, except us GTS drivers
