For sure the laps is alredy done, but I agree hope it was nice cold wether.
In the end I think that sport auto lap is most solid reference on a cars laptime. Christian G also drove 991 RS and now GTS.
To bad wether was bad for 991 RS lap, 36 celsius in the shade. Thats not the best for any car. Sport auto was 8 seconds slower han factory in 991 RS. Delta for speedlimit taken out. 12 seconds slower on speedlimit.

back then they also drive Old flugplatz, now its a new flugplatz section. Fore sure track is more easy now. I guess we talk 1-1,5 seconds faster this year only on that section.

Due to this I guess Christian will not be 8 seconds slower than factory in M4 GTS, my guess is still ca. 3 seconds slower, hehe. 7.31min thats it. Sport auto drive just the same lap as factory. Factory lap For M4 GTS was 7.27.88. For 991 RS 7.20min.

Not happy, 7.37. I am out, nead to recover. Play some golf or what ever..meh( like the 991 RS lap, it was also to hot, 30 celsius, 34 on tatmac, not as hot as RS but turbo M4 turbo car suffer)
1600kg full fuel, 1676kg with driver. 533hp and 640nm on the dyno. So in M4 GTS Christian is 9 seconds slower than factory BMW lap, then again when BMW drove it was 13 celsius( way better for turbo car)
In. 991 RS Christian was 8 seconds slower than Porsche factory lap. Mind you they all drive the exactly same lap!
We know all factory laping is done very, very early in mornings, hence Porsche factory also had better and cooler temp then sport auto RS lap.

So many variables and me thinks that the GTS will get slower and slower dealing with heat soak on the Turbo. Heavy car so we have to see tire and brake temps as well after a couple of laps.

How many laps on the Ring do the GTS manage without refilling distilled water?

You have a point there, agree. Hm, I guess I need to go to ring in fall, not summer if in GTS

2 laps this hot day, 30 degrees in shade. Factory did lap GTS in 13degrees, better For sure. Still overall picture is sport auto is 9 seconds slower than bmw Factory and they are 8 seconds slower than porsch RS Factory time( exactly same lap, same driver)

My GT4 just went up in value and price, that porker I will not sell cheep. Its in sport autos hands, 5.66 seconds slower than sport auto M4 GTS lap. ( gt4 was lap when 12 degrees so god For it) Still 6 seconds is alot on the ring. But its not bad my gt4. Factory always lap god conditions so M4 GTS 7.27.88min vs GT4 7.40min Factorytime is greater distances between the 2 cars still, thats ca. 12 seconds.
Well I am keen to know where I put my M4 GTS in terms of ring laptime. Might do that, try it.

under 1/0 driving aka race mode --> full tank of fuel = full tank of water

standard sporty countryroads 5x fuel tank = 1x water tank

Have you read sport auto test? Aparently water was out in 2 laps,(30 degrees in the shade, thats hot) and 2 laps you can not empty fuel tank i guess.

you are right. just read this also somewhere - but didn´t read the articel yet.
i guess 45l/100km will need the M4GTS when driven hard around the Ring. so as you said, 2 laps are just 1/3 of a fueltank approx.

thats not good - cause trackdays are often during summer

my statement was straight from Garching/Munich... tja... as always...
