OT: My full Review of the 2016 Viper ACR

Just making set up changes. It's nice to be able to get 3.2 degree camber without motorsport shims. Takes longer to set up strings and scales than to make the changes.

The GT3RS frenzy is the best thing that could have happened to Dodge. You want a more track focused, faster machine with manual trans? 911R? Meh. It's the ACR-E. Sure it sounds different, but otherwise the ACR is simply more car on the track. And the performance envelope is so approachable. You can have the GT3 and ACR-E both for price of RS. And the ACR-E is more rare. My car, delivered end of March is S/N 356 of total 2016 Viper production. It's going to take a while to optimize the car and setup but the list of great features includes:
1. Double adjustable coil overs
2. Camber well over 3 deg with no extra parts, just control arm cam bolts
3. 19" tires $1000 a set cheaper than 20-21 set
4. Dash and infotainment display can be set to simultaneously display (1) oil press, (2) oil temp, (3) water temp, (4) all 4 tire pressure, (5) intake air temp.
5. 5 different traction control settings even a "wet" setting
6. Lug studs and no centerlocks that I guarantee makes service and tire rotation easier.
7. Adequate cooling of oil and water, unlike the Z06 (but not quite as good as Porsche).
And I've driven mine on street for 100+ miles with track setup and no scrapes, just mind the inclines.

Viper is very cool
Last Thursday evening on my way home from a two-day DE at Watkins Glen I noticed an orange colored exotic-looking car up ahead, so I caught up to it and saw a Viper in the wild. Very, very cool looking. This one didn't have a wing, which made it a little less conspicuous. The two of us tag teamed for a while changing places and then, up ahead, I noticed another exotic, but this one (dark color, perhaps black) with a wing. It was another Viper! This guy wanted to show his stuff, so he was (obnoxiously) weaving in and out of highway traffic and making big sounds along the way.
Two Vipers in the wild on the same day (and, BTW, no where near the Glen; by this time we were close to NYC) is a rare sight indeed. I must say they are very cool-looking cars. The orange one had black accents and it was stunning.
Not sure if they are for me, but very cool.

They are brash and crude and unsophisticated, a broadsword to the rapier Porsche. The Vikings would have liked this car. Oddly, I see the Ancient Germanic warriors liking the car as well. Makes me want to get a tattoo and grow a mullet and get some piercings. Build a garage mahal for it next to my double-wide.

Is everyone's ACR-E's holding up well so far? I read another thread where they were having limp mode problems after hitting the rev limiter, wheel bearing issues, etc. This is from a brand new ACR E.
