because of the immense grip at lower speeds and the aero at high speeds, it constantly rewards and entices bigger and bigger entry speed and less and less braking...it's like a miata in that sense.
I love the long hood and feel like the car has become very very predictable due to weight distribution effects.

Won't the fronts rub w/ the modest increase in profile? Also, doesn't giving up the modest width for the rear mitigate the benefit of Hoosier vs. Kuhmo for grip?
Alan, have you actually tried this yet? Please share your experience if you have? I hear you frequent AMP pretty frequently?

No issue on fender rubs in the front. Go look at your car now and you will see how much room you have (a ton). Since the 295/30 is ~1" taller tire than a 295/25, you will need to lower car ~1/2 in front to maintain same rake and that of course will impact you alignment camber in front.
also, as stated by someone, the hoosiers to tend to run a bit wider, so when you put a 345 next to the factory 355, they look virtually identical. These size combos (albeit 18" fronts) are the standard run on Vipers on the track all the time.

As a note, Hoosier does make R7 and A7 in a 345/30/19 for rear and a 295/30/19 that could work in the front, you would just have to lower the front a bit to make work to have the rake set appropriately for the 30's series vs the 25 series tire.
Agree, would be great if the made the exact tire sizes and suspect for the ACR, enough of them will burning up tires. I would definitely buy.

GT3 owners who have been tracking this ACR. Is it strange, having that long hood in front feel/visability wise? Or does it become a non factor over time, and placing the car on line at the track, no issues? It always feels strange/uncomfortable to me, sitting so far back in the car with such a long hood and a feeling of disconnect on what the steering is doing and how the front of the car is moving in general.

In a Viper, you will always want to know more what the rear is doing. Interestingly, most cars have longer front hoods, so more the norm and the 911 is the unique one. Your question would be similar to someone never driving a 911 before asking is it strange to sit so far forward and have the engine hanging off the back...
Different experience for sure. Less visibility, but when tracking I am not looking 2ft in front of the car, but much further out for the speeds being traveled, so never thought about it. In the end, the experience is very different, but I would not say strange or any feeling of disconnect, just different in an extremely connected more analog way.

Feels like the hood disappears on track as ^ 991TTS said you're looking so far ahead you don't notice. I find the steering has tons of feedback and feels so connected to the front wheels it can make it feel smaller. I don't have an ACR but a TA. Although you definitely notice it when you first drive the car on the street. Took a little getting used to

Hoosier tires are notorious for having a lot more tread width than the stated section width would indicate. As for the tires interfering with any of the fender liner or body work, I would also like to know whether anyone is actually fitted these tires to see what happens
