Awesome write up CJ!!! This car is a beast and neither pictures or words does it any justice.

Here are some pictures of this car getting our BBi Autosport Alignment and Corner Balance last week. From time to time, we do stray away from our specialty and work on other high-performance cars that are not Porsches.

I then thought of the unthinkable after reading various articles……..buying a Viper ACR Extreme. I ordered the car over the phone with no money down from a dealer who I never dealt with before at under MSRP. That was Aug 5 of this year. The car arrived at the end of November and all I can say is that it is badass.
I still love my Porsches but this has really been a easy and extremely positive purchase.
Happy Holidays
Love that single stripe scheme

The single drivers stripe is the hallmark of the old ACR's "American Club Racers".
If you can see, there is also a red stripe on the Alcantara steering wheel and on the left wing support.

I've shrunk to 6'4 so it's snug. The pedal cluster is electric adjustable so you can move forward or back up. The seat is very comfortable and hugs your sides. My only issue is the seat height however, I just purchased a kit from Snake Oil Products that lowers the seat 2".

One of the more common mods is to use a seat lowering kit. I have done this with my TA 2.0 and I can clear my helmet easily. One wonders why they even bothered putting a seat rail in the car given that all the cockpit space is down low and the pedals/wheel are adjustable.

I don't fit in either 6'4" but all legs.
The Vioer is bigger than Corvette but still much smaller than Cayman.

Taking my RS tomorrow to test fit GT4's with roll bar.

I love the ACR. I am waiting to see if they are really gonna stop production after MY 2016. If yes, I will definitely spec one out. Had a 96 GTS and it was a BEAST! Love those manual transmissions. Just ordered a Hellcat Challenger in Plum Crazy Purple and manual. That's the street cruiser to the diners!

the 991RS looks better to me than either 997 or the huracan and if I could get one at sticker I'd really feel safe driving it and putting miles on it...but for the amount of markup that some people are paying- you can get a 991GT3!!

so, if someone forced me to spend 325k on car purchases right now:

150k 991GT3
130k ACR track beater.
45k left over!! tire budget. truck/tools budget!!!

or,
150k-225k 997RS keeper
100kGT4 Cayman Track beater

or 997RS and ACR.

I would not personally go anywhere near a 991RS for 300k. 200k?? I'm all over it. I think 240k would be my ceiling based on the fact that the car is just not as fun to drive as the previous Generation...

Ralph Gilles said 2017 will be the last year, although a few may slip into 2018 before the new rules will force them out of production. Apparently it's something to do with the airbag requirements that would require a complete redo of the platform? Just not worth the cost given the low sales. I'm seriously thinking of grabbing one before they go out of production.
