I'm sure it's not just me but I find matte paint repulsive. Someone who frequently parks on my street has a matte candy apple red E65 7 series and it has got to be the ugliest car on the planet.

Then again, an E65 with any paint is one of the ugliest cars on the planet.

Yes, surprisingly Porsche does offer these three vinyl wraps on the 918. They are applied directly to the carbon fiber (CFRP).
The outer shell is not first coated with a primer. By not applying any paint & primer to the outer shell, you save 5.1 pounds
on a Weissach Model (and that includes the minimal weight penalty of the vinyl foil wrap).

Or, if you fancy matte black on your 918, you can go this route:
