Taking your advice, I would strongly caution anyone else in this forum from getting excited about the current PAG PTS 'Golf Blue', color code W91, based on the photo below:

Besides, PAG has gone out of its way to tell us that the particular 'Golf Blue' approved for PTS is not the historic vintage Porsche 'Golf Blue', which had as its original color code # 315 (6603)! This 'Golf Blue' has a new color code - W91. And more importantly, the approved 'Golf Blue' is specifically referred to by Porsche as a VW color! It is not the Porsche historic color 'Golf Blue' nor does it have the historic Porsche color code 315 or 6603!

So caveat lector...

Wow Eduardo, I almost fuked up: phew!!

Next car I order I hire you, tell you what I want and get out of the way....

Very hard to come up with something original, historical and know it will look good on the average of a gigantic RS...

Fedex Lite it is.

I'm thinking P O R S C H E on the rear wing to match matte aluminum 997 4.0 style and a classic P O R S C H E triple stripe between the wheels and clear bra the whole thing, add track app swap out door pulls from orange to black and call it a day.

Color shouldn't be judged by its origin, though the ones with historical significance do get extra points. As of now I'm zero for 7 on color choices and approval. I can't seem to find the right color on the approved list. For a special car like this it just has to be perfect.

Approving a new color seems to be very uncertain and lengthy with Porsche. This worries me.

My experience very recently with BMW Individual was very easy.

What to do?

I wasn't formally denied any color but I don't see Acid Blue, Adriatic Blue, Bali Blue, Dalmatian Blue, Leaf Green, Light Yellow.

If it's not on the approved list, I'm looking at 6 months to a year for a response?

Clarifying the process for myself or anyone else looking for a color that doesn't appear on that list.

Agree, I'll add that same color on a different car is a different experience IMO.

The madness to pick a color now has me seeing Lava Orange and Mexico Blue Mustangs, Gelbgrun Challengers and Ultraviolet Chargers everywhere.

Being original is somewhat of a folly, it's already out there and has been. Any RS is a rare sight, a Voodoo or Birch Green Porsche is like seeing a unicorn cross the street. We're in the Rennlist bubble.

+1 - lets not forget the Jeeps are everywhere as well, also in slate grey, orange etc. I just wish we didn't have to go through the PTS mess to get access to the historic colors and there were more standard options.

I figured it out (I'm slow), we're just working thru our mid-life muscle car crisis with jelly bean Porsches instead of American iron.

I'm too young to appreciate those muscle cars, but Voltron could be my childhood inspiration.

Yes, there is much to worry. To clarify for others in this forum, let me image capture the response I gave you reference the PM you sent me on this subject:

Hope that helps!

Default Ferrari 'Pozzi Blue' vs Porsche 'Meerblau'...

'Blue Pozzi' is a very dark blue done in honor of the French Ferrari importer Carlo Alberto 'Charles' Pozzi...

One Porsche PTS solid 'Blue' that might be close to 'Blue Pozzi' is 'Meerblau' or 'dark sea blue', color code A5G. Regardless if it's not a perfect match, 'Meerblau' is an extremely beautiful PTS color on a Porsche!

It's believed that Jeff Zwart's old .2 997 gt3 RS 4.0 Limited Edition was this elegant PTS 'Meerblau' color!
