diablo region is great
GGR is very very good too. TSmith is the DE chair and is on RL here. joe, if you tell tim you are orthojoe, i am sure you be in advanced group. they dont want you to scare the lower group lol.
personally i would take GGR over ANY organization in nor cal, well. other than mooty day of course
case in point, after joe's day at TH, i am towing straight from TH to LS to attend GGR. and likely i wont even pass sound.
yes, i drove with every group up here. HOD when it's called ray's day. TMR when it's a one man show, NCRC before it's called NCRC. SV, lotus days, nasa, audi club, bmw cca.... u name it, i have driven it.

Thought I'd share some interesting footage:
Last Friday at MRLS, there was a 'VIP' there. VIP shows up with a 458GT3 along with a pit crew and Johannes Van Overbeek. Overbeek was hired to drive a 991 GT3 as a lead/follow car. Unfortunately, Overbeek was probably going 3/10ths at best. Would have been awesome to try to follow him going even 7/10ths, but instead the Ferrari just blocked everyone and parked it in the corners. At least the passenger was giddy and having a ball. LOL.
Same VIP blocking my buddy's Cayman R:
Poor Overbeek must have been bored out of his mind...

When you were a Boxster guy, GT3's blocked you.
Now you're a GT3 guy and Ferrari's block you.
You're moving up in the world!

LOL. Well, you can, but you'll end up on video.
Update on the brakes. So far we have 541 track miles on them and 5 track days. 2 at Laguna, 2 at thunderhill, and one at Sonoma. They are still holding up well. No evidence of tapering and still plenty of life left. Rotors still look good. No discoloration of the calipers either.
