3 psi is about right. I don't think I could wait for 10psi since 1/2 the session would be over at that point. I usually take 1-1.5 laps out to warm up. I try to heat the tires up under braking, but take it easy on the corners

One thing to note there is that hard braking with cold tires can result in the tires moving relative to the rims (I've marked it and they can move a lot). In fact, I've even seen that movement due to torque with cold tires. I haven't seen or heard of damage to the tire resulting from that movement, but it can throw off the tire balance enough to be annoying.

Makes sense, but I haven't had any issue with tire balance being thrown off with the GT3. I have that problem with the spyder, but that's because the wheel weights won't stick to my volks and keep flying off despite taping them down. The wheel weights on the GT3 wheels hold on well even without tape.

What bit of legislation bars Porsche from selling cars with cages installed from the factory?

You know what worked for me on OZ painted wheels? Aluminum heat tape then duct tape on top. Duct tape needs to be decently wide in every direction to keep the aluminum tape down. I used to starting throwing weights after a session or two on a hot day. No problem after double taping. PITA though.

Thanks. I've tried duct tape and aluminum tape, but never BOTH together! LOL

Yeah, it's a bit crazy. 1 or 2 pieces (usually just 1) of aluminum tape over the weight then duct tape all around (multiple pieces) to contact both the aluminum tape and the wheel in a wide rectangle. That will keep the weight from moving underneath the aluminum tape and eventually working itself out.

Here is my alignment sheet. We tried to get -3.5 up front, but apparently even with shims, the front maxes out at -3.2. I haven't tried adjusting the sway bars.

Agreed. They will go out of their way to make sure the passenger pass through is not there. DOT ******.

-3.2? You're not screwing around at all! LOL
Was -2.5 in the rear without shims?

Shims all around. So many shims. According to the shop, if I want to get to anything less than -3.2, cup car control arms are required. I see no reason to go small with the camber since the tires won't last more than 2-3 months anyway (4-6 track days)
