Hard to imagine that the cheaper of the two tires is wearing faster.

Yup 2:1 or even 3:1, the rears did everything...
My 964 cords fronts and rears at the same rate but no power and F245 R275....
Why does the GT3 push so hars with RWS and PTV instead of LSD?
What am I missing?

Looks like the 981 Spyder may share the GT4 3.8L !

FWIW, with track use, I've seen a roughly equal rate of wear of F and R tires on the Cayman R and 997.1 C2S. That's with a variety of tires.

So why does the 997C2S wear evenly and the 997GT3 wear more in the rear?
This is all a mystery to me...

The 7.1 C2S is about 350 hp, which is a lot less than the 7 GT3, but I don't know if the power difference alone accounts for the full difference in wear. When I had R888s on the C2S, I found that I was literally shifting the rear tires relative to the rims under power, so it seems there was plenty of torque and I was using it.

Wear on my 991 S was about twice is much on the front as the rear. What do you guys do? I started just putting fresh fronts on half way through the cycle with rears.

Remember the Mezger engine is a lot heavier than the regular Carrera engines. It would be natural for more tire wear for the 997 in the rear. The new DFI engines are so much lighter. The 991 is much more weight balanced that your wearing the tires correctly. Open wheel racers with a reasonable power (up to 400hp) will wear the fronts more. You're driving correctly if the fronts wear faster. You're shifting the car weight to the front and that's the how you get good turn in. But that's how you destroy tires.
