I have finally seen the car today .You "all" will love her.I can just tell.."more supercar" than before..Orange: not for me..too salmon looking color..at least under artificial lights.I will go with white.Weight: what I realized is that 1420 kg is without roll cage. And this is not good considering an extra 20 kg I think for this installation..But I hope to be wrong...Does someone know if the lighter battery will work with lift?I don't think I will need the lift but I eard that the standard battery in this case is necessary..
Bottom of the car:
You can clearly see the RS development car sporting the GT3 Cup's brake system at the ~ 0:41 mark. Maybe it's something to look forward to for the 991.2 GT3?
6spd manual, PFC brakes, Cup rear hubs/suspension to allow Cup 18" BBS wheels, and ditch RWS, and side mufflers. Doubt that would happen, but what a car that would be.
Additional info about the rumour of a special edition of the new RS as road-legal RS Cup version would be highly appreciated by many of us I guess: Why pay 200K for a RS if Porsche would bring a special/better model in about 1 year from now
I've not heard anything about that. I'll ask Brendon Next time he's in New Zealand. I think it's a mule carrying the DFI carrera cup engine for next season :-)
well I got my commission number/build sheet from the GM at my dealer. It does not mean I have the official allocation/build date yet...which will be a few weeks away. It's in the system though !!!!

Yes, the new lighter battery will work with the lift. I'm thinking ordering the new light battery for my GT3 with lift.
U just have to ask yourself if you need a lift for the RS AS the car is 2cm higher than the GT3,
. Many people survive in a 991 GT3 with no lift, though I'm glad I ordered in for my GT3. However, I wouldn't order the lift for the RS.

Reason: .
Obviously not better for you. But it seems like a few of us here want the 1rs street legal cup!
I understand that as I have owned the last of the raw GT3's...996.2. I am sure this Cup version will shake rattle and roll even more. I don't track enough to suffer that on the street. Sounds like this 991 street cup will be hard to get with very limited allocations.

You lucky dog!! I'm assuming a car is guaranteed now?? I'm also going to get on the horn to my guy...
I did not but i was catless and mufflerless and the straight pipes were brutal. i was 24, i loved it!!!! now at the old age of 35 im a little more tame and mature (yeah right) and id go nuts if my 991 was that loud. That thing took a beating! I had a white one, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before White was the GT3 marquee color. Whats crazy is i traded it in with 45,000 miles on it and they gave me 45k in trade in 2007. Depending on the miles it has it might be worth more now.
15,000 miles a year in a 2004 GT3 back in 2004, who else does that???? Good times man!
I had a Europipe 100 cat exhaust too. I traded it In Oct. for my current 3 for $65k with 13,000 miles.
I think there are two ROW 996 RS cars in the US....not sure how they were able to pull that off at their local DMV....for street registration...that is the 996 you want
