That looks much better than the redish look of the official pictures

Albeit I'm keeping my GT3 and not going RS, I am still disappointed by the color selections. I thought Lava, then seeing this salmon color, I'm torn.

A little King Salmon indeed, nice look at the black wheels on this car with Lava.

We need to see the purple people eater option.

I swore I was going to do something bold with the color on this car and told my dealer Lava when he called , but I've always been worried it would look too washed out after seeing the pics from the mule in San Francisco . These natural light shots seem to bear that out - just not feeling it . I find myself reverting to my usual safe way of thinking . GT silver with red wheels, spoiler end plates and deck logo ?

I love Lava, actually enjoy it more under certain lighting when it shows more red than orange.

I've watched that video a number of times and used it in my decision to go Lava . Agree it looks awesome there , but I'm concerned it got some color correction in the editing . Perhaps it's one of the colors that shifts dramatically in different light . Still , hate to pull the trigger and hate the end result .

Very interesting and thanks for that. It really does have the same appearance as the rear bumpers that were for sale a while back. Presumably these are all unaltered unprofessional photos and under slightly overcast conditions (usually good for taking photos since the lighting is quite even). To me they look mildly pinky orange / salmon.
This discussion reminds me a lot of when rhodium silver first came out and the comparisons with GT silver. Lava may be a hard colour to photograph accurately in order to compare with other oranges. May need to see in real life. Here are those bumpers once again, FWIW, just as a reminder:

I took some pics at the stand yesterday. Under the bright lights the colour changed a lot and is difficult to see what it would be like in daylight. The more orange are iPhone pics, the redder pictures taken with a Sony RX100m2.

This is what's intriguing me..
Even the shade of orange at the show looked a bit more explosive than the one in these pictures.. It looks dull.

Lava does have a definite salmon hue in those pics. Other colors (sky, road signs, cars, etc.) look natural which gives a clue as to color accuracy, I would think.

Being a new color, I'd wish to see it in person before choosing. Based on those photos it wouldn't be a consideration for me. Given what's available, GT Silver would be my choice and it's free.
