Agreed....I think Lava will definitely have to been seen in person because it seems to vary a substantial amount depending on lighting. I also think silver would be my choice but also can't wait to see an RS in "barney" purple.

I'm not a fan of the lava color either, based only on pictures but also the 918 I saw in person that looked very similar. I think it's my least favorite porsche orange of all time.

It looks like what I imagine a GR car would become if parked outside for 20 years and never washed, nor waxed.

I didn't want to say anything initially because I'm already considered the GR shill around here but based solely on those pics, I agree; it does look something like a faded, lifeless version of Guards.

One thing is for sure, Lava is definitely the most polarizing color I've ever seen from Porsche. It can look absolutely breathtaking in some pix/video and absolutely terrible in others. The video posted above, it has a really orange look, almost closer to RS Orange and looks amazing, perhaps tricks of the filters used by the professional cameraman. In others it looks very red to burnt orange like what was posted from the show, which is still cool but very different and most likely due to the autoshow lighting. Then in other pix, I totally see the salmon/coral/faded red. It's hard to believe it's all the same color lol

Lava looks like nothing out there. I'm totally fine with salmon pink. But remember I love birch green so I'm probably not the majority.

Wow! I'm normally not a yellow fan. But that looks great! Wonder what it would look like with black wheels?
