Considering this hasn't even been announced, leaked, launched, anything yet from PAG, let alone PCNA, no one's going to get the pricing right. :P

But yes, I can't wait for official details.

180k-200k have been common guesses. I think it'll start at 180k personally, especially with the rumored widening of performance differences between the GT3 and GT3 RS. Wouldn't be surprised if it cost more, would be pleasantly surprised if it's less.

Indeed. Would not be surprised, either.

But, I'm hoping they price it less and undercut their competition. $200k+ 991 GT3 RS's should be rare, and only if you max out options / PTS / Exclusive.

They have the Macan, Panamera, Cayenne, to pull in the crazy amounts of cash that they need to fund their R&D for the crazy cars that we like to buy.

No crazier than going all automatic.
Peter will you own one if it's those specs?

I love my .2 RS and won't sell it...a 991 RS would be a nice addition. From what it appears Porsche is digging deep on the new RS and will produce a rule changer.

Its funny how Ferrari's are being made to appeal to a broader audience. Guys with the new 458 S (in Europe) are commenting on how the new special Speciale is less 'special' vs their previous Scuderias. All the while Porsche seems to be stepping up their game and making a rule bender. Assuming this is a high $100s car that is an 'exotic' contender I am absolutely going to get one.

Considering the GT3 has the performance to go after 200k+ cars, one has to wonder just how far up the food chain a 180-200k+ RS would be going after.

I do agree; most other cars in the line are undoubtedly more profitable. I find the GT3 to be a great deal (relatively) for what you get, and I'm sure Porsche will do right by the RS and deliver the same incredible value for performance, whatever that price might be.

I remain skeptical that Porsche would do this given recent decisions about the product, the only thing that possibly suggests (to me) that they might do this
is the rumored MSRP, and they have to justify the 30-50k+ delta somehow

Just saw this posted looks like a close to production of possible RS on the 'Ring. Didn't see it posted yet so any thoughts?

Might be newly posted photos, but recent photos shown last month suggest this car is farther back in the RS development. Since this prototype, the wing has been updated, front fenders are wider and seamless, wheel design is same as GT3.

One thing the GT variants have over most other high end performance cars is resale value. Just look at the prices on barely used Mclarens in comparison. So even if the RS is 180k plus, I think it should hold a decent amount of its price long term.

Note that it now has a "proper" GT3 decklid & aero with the expected air intakes...

Also note steel (not PCCB) brakes ...

Looks more like what I would have expected, You think this is more likely for production Larry?

The previous spy shots show what looks like a "turbo"/Carerra decklid (with no "ram air" scoop like previous GT3'S OR RS'es) also those shots the wing does not look as "polished" ...

If these new shots are in fact "new" (taken recently) my guess would be that this is a pre-production RS (assuming a NA engine)
