On Rennteam the poster who provided the above information was told no more NA cars and no more GT3/GT3RS. Confirmed by a poster that is always spot on. Supposedly next gen will be GT2/GT2RS. Not what AP told EVO. Interesting to see how this plays out in fact rather than speculation.

Whoa--that would be pretty big news!

Did someone just say price appreciation on GT3...I'm not selling

For those on the fence, I'd suggest grabbing what you can GT3 wise...anonymous 918, you may even want to grab number 4

Interesting information today. As a few others on here who I have been in PM contact with know this information corresponds with what I was told late last year by a contact at Porsche. For clarity I was told the engine is basically exactly the same as GT3 with changes being the hardware and fastenings and some ancillaries needed for capacity change to keep 9000rpm redline. Some of these found their way into the GT3 already by way of engine recall. The HP difference is not so much noticeable but the capacity increase was done to address torque and apparently the curve is fatter, flatter and around 6% lbft more but noticeable difference when driving ion fast back roads etc That is all I can add but remains to be seen how reliable these sources of information are. I was told nothing has changes with this car for a year its what was always intended. I have heard nothing about these being last NA GT cars and I would suggest that information is not correct. The next GT cars may have electric motorsd or some transfer tech to assist in torque but I believe AP when he says the NA engine will last a little while longer - at least as long as 991 generation I can see.

As much as there is good info to be found here and there, all that most of these rumors do is drive demand. And consequently prices. There is a reason we regularly see leaks and hear dealer rumors of limits and "last ofs". No rocket science; simply marketing.

4,000 posts, 2 years and all that engine tech progress, yet the same power and torque of the 997 RS 4.0???

Correct me if I'm wrong, I know it'll be light years more performant, but engine-to-engine comparison: we're back to square one??

I wonder if they would make a watered down version... If not, no more 911 GT cars for under $300k at a minimum with some of these Turbo S prices we see easily going into the low $200's. It would be a shame for all the customers who love a 911 GT car in the $140-150k range but not so much for $300+. On the same hand many are already pushing the envelope with tracking a car at the current GT3 price point. Any higher and Porsche Motorsports and AP better be satisfied seeing Porsche GT being represented at the local tracks by the Cayman GT4, not their crown jewel 911.

My track is already dominated by Caymans at various stages of track/race prep. Probably outnumber 911s on a 10:1 ratio, with most of the 911s either being vintage cars or proper cups. It's a much better value platform vs the 911. Now you can just get it factory instead of aftermarket.

Interior full carbon such as turbo S
Interior in two colors (orange or gray)
all cars must be delivered in July (but not limited edition production of 4 months, less than 500 cars worldwide)
GT3 name could disappear with this Rs. All next will be turbo.

Pdk more race oriented
more racing suspensions
closer to a race car than a road one..
I hope that SuperDarius will confirm soon..more infos..
So 25 hp from displacement, turbo shell, more aero, and then a bunch of marketing spin and minor bits - sounds about right.

The 500 cars worldwide doesn't sound right, though. That would be less than the RS 4.0 at 600 units...

And...? why not? the car is more different than the 4.0 in aero etc... and more collectible it's the last N/A GT3 (RS 4.0 last mtzeger)

for me the rs 4.0 is a super 3.8 rs (same body etc...) but the 991 RS goes further and different from the rest of the GT3 range.

I think selvatico meant that the rumour we heard a while back about limited production of 500 cars worldwide is false, as he said "NOT limited edition production of 4 months, less than 500 cars worldwide".. Or else it doesn't sound right at all i agree..

Perhaps something is lost in the translation ; I wondered if there is a subset ''limited production '' version ( manual ? ) of 500 cars aside from ''regular '' RS production ?
