This is the oldest trick in the book marketing. I will GUARANTEE that unless the car is released in a numbered run of ### out of 600 for example, then EVERYONE who wants to buy an 991 RS will have their chance. This is all nonsense sorry. This is just the next Gen RS. thats all. no way its more exclusive than the 918.
Everyone who wants and can afford will obtain one, fact. If you disagree the hype, marketing, and this thread have taken real estate in your brain that you should steal back.

I want the real estate back! I've been stressed for months about not being able to get this car if it's only produced in limited numbers. Sold my '14 GT3 months ago so I could get the RS. I'll be kicking myself for a long time if I can't one. Way too much stress!

last news just arrived (tbc) and available on an Italian Forum:
4.0 500 horsepower (more racing components than the GT3)
3 different seats with a racing seat compared to 918
color: white, black, gray special, orange and purple fusion
Interior full carbon such as turbo S
Interior in two colors (orange or gray)
all cars must be delivered in July (but not limited edition production of 4 months, less than 500 cars worldwide)
GT3 name could disappear with this Rs. All next will be turbo.![Confused](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
wheels (20 and 21) 3 colors (gray, platinum and black)
Pdk more race oriented
more racing suspensions
closer to a race car than a road one..
I hope that SuperDarius will confirm soon..more infos..

While I understand CAFE only really applies to the US market, but it would be rather cumbersome, if not, impossible and impractical to have a production line segregated between the US and ROW. Doing it for bucket seats is one thing, but for an entire line of cars?
Just thinking out loud, of course. Carry on.

matte gray sounding more like a possibility....
991 GT3 was supposed to be unobtanium according to the experts on this forum. Rapidly closing in on 1,700 units sold in US alone.

Is it possible some of this information (or rumors) about a limited production run for the GT3 RS and the rush to get it out as a MY 2015 is fueled, in part, buy the Obama-enacted CAFE standards that will go into full effect for MY 2016 -- or, more precisely, full effect of CAFE and its fuel emissions standards will only apply beginning for Model Year 2016 cars?

But beginning with MY 2016, the fines will be up to $37,500 per car.
Personally, I'd rather pay a dealer markup than a CAFE fine.
Like I said up above, just thinking out loud.

From the CAFE rules themselves.
Under CAFE, the EPA is authorized to assess a penalty of $5.50 for each tenth of a mpg that a manufacturer’s average fuel economy falls below the CAFE standard.
Section 205 of the Clean Air Act authorizes the EPA to assess penalties of up to $37,500 per vehicle for violations of the requirements or prohibitions of CAFE.
The entire rule is here.

I could be reading it wrong, which is entirely possible and likely. So someone who is more adroit in US enronmental laws please feel free to correct me.
