That's making more sense as there is no leaks of a Paris showing and your timing supports other rumours of production ending by Feb for GT3 which would clear the way for RS production to complete before September & gen 2....

...We’ll find out all the details soon enough as the official world premier will take place just before the Paris Motor Show which kicks off October 4th.

My source also says Geneva showing but dealers will be taking orders from VIPs in Jan and production to start Feb once GT3 deliveries end. Take it FWiW.

Definitely seems both feasible and logical given the GT3 production timeline. This also allows journalists to test the RS under more favorable weather conditions (late spring) to provide ample marketing. It's just saddens me that non-VIP clientele will most likely have to wait until late summer/early fall at the earliest to receive their cars.

I am offering this as rumor as it is at least third hand. Maybe someone here can confirm or deny. Total production number had not been finalized. There is "debate" from within about how many to build. MAYBE not as limited as thought??? What is not rumor is that PAG knows demand is very high for the RS. I am told $180K USD is the right figure

If I remember correctly, there have been a number of folks who were told by sources that a Geneva launch was going to be the case, whereas most posters have merely speculated about a Paris reveal. The former being backed by sources and the lack of publicity/marketing as Paris gets closer seems to be the most feasible outcome. What seems to be new is that the VIP clientele cars will be immediately produced perhaps before the Geneva show to better align with the GT3 cease production. This would allow those folks to receive their cars almost immediately after the Geneva show.
Hey, anything can happen as we all know, but this theory does seem the most likely. With the huge social media environment we live in today, I don't think it's possible for a manufacturer to be as tight lipped anymore. Even VIP clientele can "leaked" things (a la Speciale A) perhaps before a manufacturer is ready for the official public release.

So, my understanding is that the development of the car is complete, and has been for a while. Do y'all still think they are further developing it minor ways up until it's release, or is the development car's/final specs just going to "sit around" for another 4-6 months?
Not a single insider can still confirm whether it will have a 4.0L?
