All deliveries appear to be delayed between 4-6 weeks (mine about 5 weeks). No reason is given.

Was told by my dealer that first ones they will be receiving will be in Jan. I think they were expecting to have the first cars come in Nov so that synchs with the 4-6 week delay comments. rather wait a little vs getting a bunch of lemons out of the first build batch!

The USA was never going to land its first customer GT3s until early Jan in any case as the first ones were scheduled as Nov build with 6 weeks transit and a week for delivery pre and paperwork....

My order had an ETA of 12/20/13. Now it's Jan 17th, 2014. Not too bad.

Your dealer is wrong. There have been several deliveries of the TT and TTS. However, there have not been any deliveries of the GT3.

I received pretty good news from my SA today, assuming it's correct. My original entry into production date was 11/8 and the expected arrival at the dealer was 1/17. I've now been told that the production date is 11/15 and dealer arrival is 1/25, which is only a one week delay. I guess we'll see......

@Mike in CA -- Nice! Here's to hoping that date sticks! Mine (as of beginning of October) was also just sealed an extra week.

Fingers crossed.

Mike mine has moved from week 46 to week 47 (i.e. week starting 11 Nov to week starting 18 Nov) production in the last three weeks. However it is still marked as "delayed" next to the order entry on Porsches system. Unfortunately I believe there could be further updates to that date by month end as they work through everything....

Macca, the one week delay seems too good to be true, so you very well may be right. But I hope you're not....

Maybe the delays vary by options ordered with certain vendors ?

There's no way to tell. It could be that, then it could also factor in the size / position of the individual Porsche dealership, etc. Who knows?!

It does suck pretty royally, regardless though. Ugh.

In the email that Porsche sent out to dealers around the start of October, they said that delivery date estimates at that time might not be that accurate but would become more accurate around the end of October. My delivery estimate that I got in early October had slipped by 5 weeks from the original estimate I got in mid-September. I have just sent an email to my dealer asking for an update. Hopefully it will improve to something closer to the original estimate.
