The engine in this car is $90k from PAG. Do you have any policy that provides full coverage for the engine?

Nope, unfortunately the warranty companies look at it as if the coverage would be so expensive, customers wouldn't purchase such policies.

Considering warranty could terminate your policy after a big $20k claim, you are paying $7500 to insure only $20,000. The liability to cost ratio is not even 3:1. I dont understand this. Porsche CPO is 2 years $3500 and its got no $ limitations.

Why would the warranty company terminate your policy after $20K? What if Porsche cancels your CPO coverage? I'm not sure what your point is.

Same reason why homeowners can cancel your policy when you make a roof claim (it has happened to 3 people I know who has had 0 home/auto claims - ever).

I have never heard Porsche cancelling CPO - perhaps if the car is tracked and abused and they have proof.

Historically these aftermarket warranties have always cost less than what they would cost if you went to manufacturer. This was my experience in an M5, M3, ZR1, GT350, and a 997.

I understand having questions and concerns, but can we keep this thread discussion focused on Porsche GT cars.

Can you tell us if the contract has a clause that states the issuer has a right to terminate the contract without cause? Every aftermarket car warranty I bought had this clause.

No, the warranty company does not have a right to terminate the contract without cause, see following from page 6 section 10 of the contract. "2. We may cancel this Contract for any one of the following reasons only:

a. If there has been fraud or material misrepresentation relative to this Contract or a claim;

b. A substantial breach of Your duties relative to this Contract; or

c. If there has been non-payment of the Contract Purchase Price by You or the Dealer

d. The Vehicle is determined to be ineligible pursuant to Section 6 Ineligible Vehicles

e. An odometer discrepancy of any kind has been detected.

3. If We cancel this Contract, written notice of such cancellation will be mailed to You at the last known address provided to Us by You within five (5)

days of the date of cancellation and will state the effective date and the reason for cancellation. A pro rata refund will be made based upon either

elapsed time or mileage."

My EasyCare-TotalCare service contract has a maximum limit of liability listed as the actual cash value of my GT3 at the time of the claim. And there is no per claim lower limit.
I paid around $7k for a 46 months-48k miles contract.

And yours cover a GT3? What year is the car? Where did you get yours from?

I spoke with the dealer. Purchasing VSC Platinum after the original factory warranty expires, even if the car is CPO, requires an inspection and is more expensive. I just locked in my 10-year and beat the buzzer by two days.

2015 GT3.
I bought it directly from EasyCare: www.easycare.com
And I had EasyCare-TotalCare on a couple of BMW M cars in the past and made a few claims that were paid with no issues.
