The 991 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
![Default](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Sold my Ferrari 458 and I'm in the market for 3 different cars if anyone has any leads. I have seen the ones on the market and have made offers to those I like which are pending and avoided those that I think are overpriced/trying to ask for the world.
1. 991.2 GT3RS - Prefer Miami Blue but willing to accept Lava Orange, Guards Red or Chalk. Open to WP or non WP and PCCB or Steels.
2. 991.2 GT3 Winged - Has to be PTS/Manual and optioned well.
3. 991.2 GT3 Touring - Has to have buckets/PCCB's.
If anyone has any leads, let me know. This would be to pair with my PTS GT4RS.

just a reference point to the group
I had a black 4900 miles 991.2 3RS WP/buckets/PCCB/FAL/ Mag wheels added after market sticker was 228 k. Car had full PPF, certified 6 months ago with new tires
sold it to dealer for 245 k , they sold it within a day for 280 k
so the market on these is fairly strong now

There is one in the Seattle are that looks to be priced fairly well, especially for being at this dealership . Anyone have historical knowledge on this one?
2018 GT3, manual, 26k miles, buckets and FAL.

ohh..what would be a good offer on this one? Any insight and ranges would be appreciated. I'm looking to get one later on this year and the lowest priced 991.2 I've seen with a clean (no accident) title is around $175k private sales.

Larry is spot on. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from getting the car they want, but if I was looking at this particular car I would look at it this way.
The original MSRP, assuming the label posted is correct, was $157k, and they are asking $180k. You are starting at a $23k delta. This is the type of range you’ll find on an awesome spec low mile 991.2 winged GT3.
Yes, it’s a manual, so it has the appeal for someone wanting a manual, and it has buckets, a desirable option for many. The manual may drive the price up a notch vs. PDK, but this is a drivers GT3 @26k miles. And it’s black (awesome when clean) but not a color that demands any premium on these cars.
I suspect you’re not alone in being attracted to the price point. MANY people want a less expensive manual 991.2 GT3, But when you dig into the details this is, (IMHO), overpriced. With this mileage and limited options, I would offer $150k - and that’s only if it is completely up to date on all its services and passes a comprehensive PPI.
FWIW, I’ve been to this dealer many times. They typically source some cool cars, know the market in Seattle is limited for options (comparatively), and the pricing tends to be high unless they’ve been sitting on a unit a while. Always had a good experience speaking with the staff. Similar experience I would say to visiting Grand Prix in Portland. I always found the PNW just very limited outside a few places to find cars, at least at dealers.

Like you, I have a passion for cars. Similarly, I enjoy passing along my perspective and experience. If it helps someone that’s awesome. I’m not anti dealer, anti ADM, and understand the point of being in business is to maximize profits, etc. I would just encourage buyers to be informed, and in some instances that’s exactly what a place like RL can be used for. As you recently experienced, things are often derailed, but there are more people on here willing to help and share than not…and that’s enough to keep me coming back.
Cheers!!!

I would look at it differently. Does it seems like a good deal to comparable other options in the market that you would consider? That said, I do agree looking at BaT and PCarmarket recent sales are insightful.
Premium to MSRP is irrelevant at this point. The car is out of production.
Base MSRP on a 991.2 GT3 was ~$145k.
Base MSRP on a 992.1 GT3 is ~$182k, or $37k higher.
Going the other direction Base MSRP on a 997.1 GT3 was $106k, or $39k lower....so, similarly irrelevant.
Here's a very basic 997.1 GT3 (white, with really no options) and 35k miles....it just sold for $150,150 inclusive of fees. No one talks about it being $40k over that car's MSRP (which was $110,700 as built)
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...he-911-gt3-83/
Similarly, this 2019 Aston Martin DB11 Volante with only 9k miles just sold for $118,650 with fees, but no one is going to suggest it's tremendous value compared to a GT3 because it sold for $141k below MSRP.

Anyway...that's my mini rant that MSRP should be irrelevant for cars that have been out of production for > 5 years and prices have moved somewhat independent of similar vintage cars.

@atlrvr - solid analysis, and don’t disagree. However, we could simply remove the words MSRP and swap that with let’s look at how the car is equipped. To me, it’s still a relevant gauge to look at the market ave sales for comparably equipped cars, and one way to do that is MSRP. For example, this black car with PPCB, full leather, upgraded headlights, etc., would likely bring a premium. There is obviously the depreciation curve driven by the miles, condition, etc. So, maybe we agree that how the car is equipped is relevant. Cheers!

@msgs350 - it is constantly evolving as you stated. Not sure if you're in the PNW, but if you are, you know it's really a pain to find a variety of these cars for sale at any given time. If it's not too far for you, go take the car for a test drive and see what you think. There are many enthusiasts in that area if you want a RL member to put eyes on it.
