Its not, on Cargurus, the 10 cheapest 991.2 manual GT3 range from $170-180k range, for the 992, it’s $240-250k, so $60-70k delta, which based on my research on trying to buy a GT3 now is accurate. Getting a double wishbone suspension, that’s a game changer. And especially for anyone going to track!!!!!

Heck, the 991.1 GT3 is still about $130-140k range, that’s till a $40k delta.

Not sure I follow, but was suggesting the gap between an equivalent spec/mileage 991.2 manual to 992 -- "as new" in the case of that 991.2 auction -- is 40-50k. But whether 45, 70k, in any case, too much for a double wishbone.

991.1 tough to include in the conversation for obvious reasons. 991.2 to 992 reliability is a toss up.

I prefer the 991 for the reasons stated by brownan plus a few more. I just liked the 991 better. I’m not saying it’s a better car but it is my preference. This includes the looks, feel of the car, ride, interior etc. I may be in the minority but I know what I like.

Don't think a 5-year old car with delivery miles is a proxy for the general market. Cars with ¬15k miles / plain colours / low options are pretty close to MSRP. Certainly the more desirable specs are still above MSRP, in the case of tourings, well above MSRP and approaching 992 winged pricing. I don't think nice spec 991.2 GT3s are going below MSRP anytime soon if ever.

Most winged cars are going for 30-50 ADM, check the below thread for the latest ADMs. From what I have seen that is a good price for a PTS car depending on mileage.

I think the $30k-$50k over quote above was referring to manuals.

Gentlemen, that’s me who purchased the 991.2 GT3 lightly spec’d on BaT. I realize I paid a large premium for the car, but it’s last of the analog cars and the digital dash (save TAC) scares me, honestly. While my maiden voyage into the 911 world is a very expensive and really for me, absurd, I feel better about this than I might paying for a low mileage 993/964. I grew up always wanting a 993 C4S or Turbo or 964, but those premiums hurt my feelings a bit more. Anyway, I’m happy to be a part of this forum and appreciate all sides of this discussion, 991.2 vs 992.
