The 991 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

So Agree. "LOL NO" is right...it seems everyone thinks or wants a $50K-$75K over sticker these days on a used car.
Still looking for a Miami Blue, Non Wessiach.. $195K for the one your mentioned. Shoot...that would have been a good price. I will sit and wait patiently until prices come down to earth or the world ends (lol)

I see one at Chicago Motors with 289 Miles. WP for $320K which is NUTS. I don't mind the WP-pack , just wanted the painted hood option for the Miami Blue, not the carbon hood if it has the WP.
The other one? I have seen another one online, that I believe was listed from a third-party dealer who listed in on Ebay for $269K. Again, not the ideal spec. no extended range fuel tank and some other things missing.
and now the one below in this thread that was listed at $275K.... Not ideal.
I can get a NEW 3RS at MSRP but. believe it or not I prefer the 991.2 RS. I know I am crazy....

I have received 4 price drop emails since Sunday this week (48 hours) in all 991.2 GT3 manual listings alone. The prices continue their trend. Fed will keep increasing the rates, money is very tight right now in banks lending wise and the government isnt going to stop until the economy enters into a proper recession. Only people who buy cars right now (instead of waiting as prices will go down much more) are the “carpe diem” people who are impatient. Otherwise, be patient and you’ll be surprised what awaits us by summer.

Things will get bad (it has been going good for far too long). And when they do get bad, sports cars are always one of the first and worst impacted areas.
Can you imagine how “that” guy feels who paid $100k over on a 992 GT3 thinking it will appreciate in value? He put 400 miles on his baby looking at it every day in his garage thinking its a status symbol and an investment. Poor baby, things didnt work out for him. Losing $50k in a $250k asset (and having not driven it or enjoyed it) must have hurt.
Good stuff. Next time he’ll think twice before believing the word of a broker (which this board has at least 4 that I know who PMs people around disguising themselves as normal members). And we’ll all remember why we buy cars in the first place, to drive them. And “these” people who buy these enthusiast cars paying markup only to put 1,000 miles/year hopefully will leave the brand to go elsewhere so people who will actually drive these cars can buy them.

- Its not “a few” thousand. These 991s were going for $70k over msrp at some point. Thats more like $50,000
- Personally speaking, having paid a premium would bother me so much. And this is something I would remember every mile I drove the car. This isnt because I cant afford $50,000 extra. Its a bit about principles. The same reason why I cant bring myself into giving into the landscaper mafia that charges $200 for a $50 grass cut because of the town you live in. Yeah some make the argument of “oh but my time is so important”, to me paying 4X to that guy would annoy me so much that every minute I saved by not mowing my lawn, I would think about how that guy thinks he has taken advantage of me.
The price I pay and the “deal” I get is absolutely part of the fun of owning these cars in addition to their spec, and condition, and DME report, and so on.

@achenator - that low mile WP Lizard that sold in TN was ~$182K. It was at a Honda dealer if I remember correctly, and a member here swooped in to purchase it. I believe you're right that it still stands at the lowest data point for one without an accident and or very high miles. I think the MSRP on the car was ~$237k.

So I'm new to this market and trying to figure things out. What's a fair price for a 2022 992 GT3 with 5,000 miles in today's market? Is it worth more as a CPO car? Does GT silver help or hurt? What are the more desirable colors? Least desirable colors?
