Prices will fluctuate on the .2 RS. Lets see how many 992 RS porsche "pumps out". not as many as 991s for sure. Will most likely be the last RS to have before going hybrid or electric. I'll hold on to my .2 regardless

My 991.2 GT3RS is pending sale. Sad to see it go, but I got a good offer and getting rid of the car is conducive to a lifestyle change I've been searching for. Will share price on Friday once sale is final.

Porsche is trying every year to make as much money as humanly possible without tanking future profits...I myself realized very quickly with my 991.2 3rs it was very very far from limited production. They made those right up until they couldn't really sell anymore (last ones sat on lots at sticker, didn't move quickly)
The only reason I see 992 RS production not going crazier than last time is just if there isn't demand. Which you could be right about, it is a very (even more so than 991.2) niche car that a lot of people might really not have the use for.

What makes you think they won't pump out many 992 RS?

Supply chain & logistics are still a disaster around the world. They really seem to be having a challenge delivering any 992 RS to begin with. Numerous reports of delays on delays from expecting owners. Believe wing component issues delaying production finalization for many cars, not sure if sourcing or qa matter.
Clock is ticking on production window, which is presumably just the 2 yrs.
Porsche making > $ on other models, RS may be lower production priority this time around.
Dealers are indeed reporting much fewer allocations for 992.1 RS than 991.
This is the least impassioned launch from Porsche GT division that I can recall, seems like a stepping stone model. Don't think they're particularly motivated to chuck them out.

I'd buy an RS today to replace my .1 in a heartbeat but only at msrp or a tiny bit above but i can't find an allocation so that's one that won't get built. I'm stuck buying used again as always.

I still think we just need to focus on liquidity. There is huge liquidity in the 150-180k range. There are still too many people who can and are eager to pay this amount of $$.
This can be evidenced by the lines blurring so hard around 190-230k.
991.2 RS' that can't catch a bid lower prices and bump into the 991.1 RS and 991.2 GT3

Focus on liquidity? What does that even mean? Personally, in this thread, I'd like to focus on discussing cars for sale and helping people vet cars or find the GT cars they're looking for.

From the comments in that auction:
"Car has 392 hours but somewhere around 100 hours somebody missed the downshift and briefly hit range 4 & 5, which is bad, but since it’s run another 290 hours without bad behavior (?) it’s probably fine."
"The over-rev occurred a while ago; I can recall an incident where I downshifted in an emergency. Apart from the service records, I never had any warranty work done on the car – it’s been operating flawlessly since the first day I drove it. When I received the DME report the dealer had no concerns."
"The actual CPO rules state that if a car has minimal over-revs in range 4 or 5, and the the car has had at least 100 operating hours since, it can be CPO’d. 332 ignitions in range 4, and 189 in range 5 is really not a big deal. If it was over 1k ignitions each, then you could say the engine spent significant time in those ranges. The engine spent much less than the blink of an eye in the two ranges, and are really insignificant, hardly worth the doomsday scenario people are projecting here."
