I thought I would ping the braintrust here.I’m starting to get car ADD again. I’ve had my 2018 GT3 for about a year I bought it with just under 500mi. The car is just shy of 4k now at 38xx.

What is it worth honestly?

I’ve seen a lot of back and forth in different threads but this one seems to have the most real data. Asking prices online seem to range wildly too. MSRP was $170,630.00

Car has CPO. I bought the car last December for more than I should admit.

Patience is understandable, but honestly for those who do have the cash for this kind of purchase (which should be a scintilla of their net worth), patience is not really required when you are talking about a measly $50K differential. Sorry but that is just my opinion. Old white guy rant over. Carry on.
Everybody is going to be a little different on how they view this it doesn’t make it right or wrong. Personally, I write the check for the car because I want the title in hand. That way I’ve convinced myself that the car went from a liability (bank loan) to an asset. If I need to sell it’s a hell of a lot easier to unload a car with a title in hand than it is to deal with a lien.

The only time I've ever financed a car was to get a rebate. Then I paid it off 3 months later.

I think the car is well-optioned, would probably get 190k as a manual imo and 5-10k less as PDK if I were to guess. More is certainly possible but you'd likely need some kind of BAT upside scenario where two people get into a competitive auction and pay a little more than they intended to bid.

My 2018 manual with $186 sticker sold for $168, but that was in 2019.

Eh? I'm not understanding. You're saying in 2019 the typical price for a 1-year-old GT3 was $100k?

Maybe I’m wrong on the year but my buddy bought one for around that pre-Covid.

Yeah maybe a high mile 2014. I bought my 19 RS at about 23k below sticker during early covid so I think that 20k ish below was the right price in 19.

Some medium to higher mileage 991.1 could be bought near the 100k mark back then. Was an absolute steal even with known issues as the warranty was still in place with 5+ years remaining. The 991.2 was back from MSRP 10-20k depending on the spec. I shopped a lot of cars and settled on the RS. At that time the 991.2 GT3 and 991.1RS were the near the same price.

Doubt it was a 991.2 manual. And if it was, it had to have been a high-mile car with zero options and a $14x MSRP. Maybe even a bad DME report to warrant a $100K sale.

Are you sure it wasn't a low-option 991.1 car?

yea no way someone bought a 991.2 gt3 for 100k unless we're talking about salvage/flooded car lol
i'll take two at that price right now!
