I'm with you. I have a Spyder, a 991.2 manual, even a Miata manual. I would have no interest in a GT3 if I couldn't get it in manual and without the wing. The wing kept me away from a GT4. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I'm also sure that I'm not alone regarding these thoughts.

That's funny, when the sales guy came over and asked if I was interested, I told him I just picked up a blue one yesterday - he told me he could get me another one if I wanted

I've had no luck with Stevens Creek sales - always after their ADM.

The Service folk are really nice though.

Had a deposit returned to my credit card yesterday, without any communication from dealer... Highly unprofessional. At least give a call or send an email saying whatever....

Was that for a buildable GT3 allocation? Man that is a bit much. I would call to at least see what the deal was.

They don't even have the time to pick up the phone and call you?

Poor form Porsche!
Is your Sales Associate too busy or doesn't he/she care about business relationships?

I bet you run a thread here how you were mistreated by your X-Dealer and Y-Sales Agent, and they will get their act together quick and fast! Good luck!

Drive safe,

Based on previous posts, he already has an allocation secured, but still has six deposits at different dealers. Not sure what’s the point in keeping all those deposits in place, since all it does is crate artificial demand, longer lists, and higher adms... He didn’t lose anything. Who cares if they didn’t call him. He already has an allocation.

Yes, this was a deposit for a possible late 2018 build. Think I now have four other deposits remaining with other dealers.

I don't want to jump to conclusions, and it's really no big deal to me relative to what I've already been thorough with Porsche trying to secure a GT3 allocation.

I deemed this as super low probability anyways (one of my latest deposits), and the salesperson was crystal clear in telling me that he'd give it his best shot, but not to expect anything to come from it. Plus I was able to help out someone else through this dealer on another GT3 in the past...

Sent a message to salesperson asking about why I didn't get a call, and will report back.

I've helped at least three people get GT3s. One at MSRP, and two for small markups. I have a late build at a markup. There is a chance that A) I get to help more people get a GT3 or B) get a build at MSRP. This is why I keep the deposits in play... Make sense? And I do not believe deposits have anything to do with creating "artificial demand."

And Porsche should be ashamed of themselves for how shoddy they handle their dealers.

Multiple deposits should not even be allowed.

I placed three nearly two years ago... and they have the least probability of paying off.

If a deposit doesn't already have a commission number and confirmed production of a car, it ain't happening.

Used to be in the car biz myself, and must admit that part of me finds this hunt a bit intriguing (I'm a masochist). I enjoyed the car business, and would quite my day gig today if the opportunity to play a significant role in a Porsche or BMW dealership presented itself.
