A GT3 in Hawaii is like a sledgehammer to kill a fly IMO. Ash told me he wasn't really sure about all these rumors that are floating around and I believe him, he hasn't played games with me doing business with him for about 10 years now.

I think I'm off their list for the .2 but I want to stay on their GT3 list for the 992 in the unlikely event that I want one. I'm relocating to California in the summer time to coincide with the GT3 delivery back from Europe, still deciding between SF and LA but looking more like SoCal will be my destination. CJ @ Porsche of Fresno is kind enough to take delivery of my GT3 direct from Stuttgart. Initially asked Carlsen in Redwood City and they flat out told me no without giving a single reason (probably simply because I just didn't get my car from them). Don't know if I would have honestly gone for the GT3 if I was staying on Oahu...
Thanks for sharing. I’ll let my bro know and hopefully he will get a car there. But yes I agree a GT3 on the islands is major overkill.

But back on topic, a SoCal dealer has in stock a $145K msrp 991.2 GT3 black on black PDK stripper asking $15k over but you need to finance or lease from them. Pm me if you would like the contact info.

That has to be a VIP car that they are holding the title on so the VIP does not get kicked out of the program. Has to be why else would they require finance or lease.

Not necessarily- They just may want to suck the blood out of you. I would be interested in their rate- probably inflated.

I bought a 2015 BMW for a DD from a Dealer last week and I was going to pay cash but they offered me .9% on 2 years so could not pass up on that. I will take that all day

‘interesting deal asking for lease or finance that makes the ADM higher as those items will drive dollars to the dealer. Many buyers want to pay cash and be done with the transaction.

Yeah that's weird. Can a dealer actually force you to lease or finance vs supplying your own financing or paying cash? I guess they can sell to whomever they want with whatever terms they want. But it's a sign of bad faith if you ask me. Wasn't a Porsche, but I had a dealer tell me they will only sell a car if they can put a lien on the title to make sure the buyer doesn't flip the car within the first year. Not a limited edition or anything. But it was a huge red flag to stay far away. Like someone is dropping $200,000 cash on a car, but they aren't allowed to have their name on the title? So strange. To me, same goes for a dealer forcing you to finance through them so they can make a few extra bucks on the sale.

I often find that I'll get the best 'deal' if I finance... I'll then pay it off in full in a few months with little cost.

Yes that’s right the dealer gets a bonus from the bank.

and lift kit. Those two items alone will shrink the universe of buyers significantly.

yes dealers get kick back for financing from the back or porsche financial and is usually few thousands depends on the amount of loan , so with a hot car, why not push the customer in that direction as part of deal .

Keep in mind, you can always refinance. Plenty of available options through credit unions and the like. I wouldn't let that financing condition alone end the discussions if one likes the car, within 30 days you can be looking at a far better rate through a refi.
