Chris,

Your car looks so nicely setup!!

And, you are right, Danny is a beast and fearless on the track in his cars.

Just found this thread, went through all 28 pages. Nice. Inspirational. Looking forward to Phase II.

I'm eyeballing a 964 or 79-81 for my next hot-rod project. Currenty have a 7.2 and a 70 1/2 SS/RS LS powered Camaro trak kar.

Congrats and Cheers from the nor-cal....

Love the shots in front of Willow.

Im curious, can you post your alignment sheet ? My local shop is pretty good, but I think they try to more or less satisfy the machine.

Yeah that's the problem. My numbers aren't too odd about -3 front -2.5 r 2mm toe in rear each side tick of toe in front, not sure on ride height spec or rake. Caster maxed out in front to point of no rub. Oh and it's corner balanced.

The issue is getting everything in harmony. Best to find a shop that knows these cars for track use.... You can align to the machine and still be screwed up.

Let's see... Today a few little things.

Replace some air horns someone installed with a set of later Carrera FER horns. They are LOUD. Need these hen battling SUVs and texters.

Also pulled my h4 lights to see what bulbs are installed, replace the missing drain thing, clean them, and aim them (they were too low). Some po had a 55/100 and a us spec h4 in the other. Will get a new pair of bulbs.

And no I'm not keeping the chrome rings showing.

what i great project! i sold my 930 a couple years ago and was looking for a more track oriented 964. i couldnt find a decent C2 so i bought a M491 TL instead. your car is making me wish i should have been more patient. still i like the m491 more than my 930. little more immediate and responsive.

hey if you arent using those chrome rings i can use them? im doing a mild back date to get an 3.0RS look. i have the rs type bumpers on the car already and currently putting some 15's on. if they are the genuine porsche ones and you want to part with them shoot me a pm please..

thanks for sharing your build with us...

Any pics of the interior? Interested to see how you handled the boot with the installation of the Rothsport shifter. I think I'm going to go with this shifter in my car. Thanks! Looking forward to seeing your car at one of the meets in SoCal.

Not yet. My plan is an alcantara boot custom made (easy) or something like that... Simple and easy.

Most just cut the top off and then sew a simple seam to clean it up.
