2. It's wonderful to see Chuckwalla from a different perspective. We race bikes out there and were out there in early January going counter clockwise as well. Instinctively I always reduce throttle in the bowl even though I know not to
The car looks awesome, great to see its nearly done. Thumbs up for how you modded the car, i would have done nearly the same. Looking forward to seeing the car around some time, maybe the next Pelican meet or Luftgekuhlt 3 in April.
Ive said it before but makes me wish i had gone with a 964, i'm stuck marching on with my 3.2L though (the struggle is real!)... prepping my credit card to make a big order from Elephant.
Your GT3 track video inspires me to get my butt out to to some of the tracks around here, been working on my 911 too much and haven't had much time to spend on my 951. I need to start looking at the calendar for this year to see what i can make.

Thanks!
The bowl. I can carry quite a bit more speed there but I'm a ***** on the exit sequence where the track camber flattens and then turns the other way to the S area. I had a killer spin exiting the bowl (buddy went off track 3 secs in front of me and I lifted... Don't do that!) last time I was there and well.... it torqued my head and took 12+ hours of my time cleaning the car, no damage except to pride. I try to maintain speed but I can go in way hotter (80-85mph) and let it scrub a bit to the exit.
Unfortunately this last weekend I was faster in all sectors of the track except the bowl and turns 3-4 (counted as going ccw). Had I kept pace from last time would have been in 1:58 range. But that's why we keep going back.... Searching for that elusive perfect lap.

Well,it's about 50% done with "phase 1" but I'm going to drive it for a month or so then it gets a very long list of other work done. I'll definitely be at luftgrkhult with either this or my 89.
The 3.2 can be made awesome too. Just different. I got my *** spanked by my buddy in his 82 with a 993 motor that weighs about 2600 lbs (I think) on nt01 he's doing 1:56!!!!
I love all my 911s they each have their own personality.
