I am hoping so. I just ordered a 12$ boot that has similar dimensions to the opening. Not sure yet how it will look or how to attach it. Will post up some pics friday when i get it.

I think it's best that it stays between Paul and the missus. On a separate but related note, what alternatives have you found for the stainless sleeve?

The stainless steel sleeve is the only easy part! It fits very well, but i wrap a lttle rubber turniquet around it to make it real snug. Can be cut to any length.

If the Singer style cup can't be replicated, I am thinking a Golf MK2 or Wrangler JK shifter boot may work in place of the OEM leather boot. I prefer the Wrangler one as I am not crazy about the top part on the Golf boot. Thoughts?

Just an idea but if you are having the shift **** custom machined anyway, why don't you have the base of it threaded on the outside and have the metal sleeve screw onto the base to give the whole thing a single unit look and it would firm up the base sleeve to prevent rattling.

Good idea. I dont know if they can put a machined screw pattern on the stainless sleeve.

thats exactly how my sparco one works - added benefit of being able to tuck the boot leather into that sleeve which finishes it off perfectly

Paul,
Any word on your new ****?
I think it's best that it stays between Paul and the missus.
It's arriving today, I hope UK Customs being their normal efficient selves

I'm sure my missus will like it and they will both be very happy together

I'll weigh it and put some photos up soon, then I'll be on to you Streetdaddy to take up your kind offer when I get measured up, if that's ok?

Cheers,
Paul

My buddy also confirmed what others have said, it'd be pretty easy to 3d print the cup. I'm out of town for the next 3 weeks, so I can't check mine, but if someone wants to give me dimensions, I can have him print up a test.
