I cut a stock boot and pulled out the factory boot.
That looks really good even just like that mate.
If the leather boot is swapped with a plastic cup, would look sensational.

Are you using 2 factory boots or just one?

stupid console isn't excatly symmetrical, there is a rise in the front, and it tapers a bit to the rear.

This is with the factory rubber boot, it looks ok, but it's a bit stiff, when shifting back and forth
The hole also needs to be a bit longer, the gear lever interferes when shifting back and forth, but then the hole would be bigger than the 5th bellow that I designed the hole for, hmm

Impressive progressive Nuffets! Appreciate the effort and the skill involved.

Have you got the rubber boot removed from the factory position and sitting much higher?

I just pulled up the rubber boot, I haven't checked if it's still where it's supposed to be or if i loosened it.
Next problem will be the round steel bar outside of the stock shifter, it needs to be 15mm interdal dia, and with 1mm wall thickness we get 17mm OD, I think maybe the rubber boot will be to tight to get it through.

Use a second boot and then cut the top bellow to fit?

hmm, the travel of the gear stick makes this a bit hard, I would have to open the center hole a lot more in order to give the stick enough room, this morning when I had the cup installed I couldn't get in reverse...
Picture shows how close it gets to the centerconsole

Looks like theirs goes a little deeper. Wonder if that makes it clear better??

Singer uses a 6 speed trans. Definitely not the G50. I assume different tolerances all together.

Yes, different transmission, much deeper cup, and what appears to be a different boot. Looks like it will be a challenge to get the tolerances right so not to bind.

An RS Quickshift will lift it up, more work to fit though.

Cheers,
Paul
