regardless it’s a good looking car, but I like to also “buy the seller” and honesty matters.
Seller seems to have a legitimate response. From a brief look the only thing that seems missing from this car is any of the bigger maintenance items like an engine reseal (obligatory on a 90) and suspension rebuild. AC seems to have also been an ongoing issue and I couldn’t tell if the compressor was in fact changed or not. Otherwise this appears to be an all original time warp which is incredibly rare to find.

Funny I saw this and I thought it was a car owned by a boyfriend of my sister back in the 90's. It is spec'd exactly the same but not the same car. So if he is making a buck on this what does it matter. If it is a solid car with no accident history all you need to worry about is the engine.

The owner of autokennel is a very reputable guy and honestly represents the cars he is brokering. But if someone wants me to lay eyes on it, they are down the street from me. Happy to check it out or refer you to a local shop for a PPI.

Nice car. Low miles, well sorted.

I thought this quote from the website was interesting about the numbers of non-red or black cars:

From 1992 through 1994, Porsche made 1,390 coupes for North America. There’s an estimated 27% that are automatics. Approximately 55% of the manuals are Carrera 2’s (RWD). Finally, at least 60% of the remaining are red and black. That leaves about 220-225 cars that fit the initial request I get. How many of those have black interior and are low original miles and original condition? I have no idea, except that this unicorn is sitting in front of my desk as I type this. 🦄

I had no idea there were so few. I feel luckier every day to have my unicorn.

Yes, I don't know what was up with Red and Black for 964's in the early 90's. Maybe that's the reason why they allegedly did not sell so well? Seems like every other car that pops up is Red, Black or White. I was relentless in the need for it to be silver on red. Took 5 years to find and had no preference of C4 v C2. Still don't, I actually prefer the AWD variants in 911s. This white one being offered at AK looks to be a prime example. If it sells at that price or anywhere near I'll continue to laugh all the way to the bank as my 964 has less mileage. But then again who's counting? I am not an ODO buyer but there are a lot of them out there. Thanks for sharing and @Matt Andrews for offering to put eyes on the car for anyone interested. I would be interested to know what it actually sells for.

That didn't take long. There are a lot of enthusiasts out there looking for a low mileage well documented C2 in non red or black. So this doesn't surprise me at all it took so little time to sell.

Thanks for letting us know. Well done. If you get your hands on a good 964 Targa, same not red or black (nor white), please send me a PM. I am still looking. Don't care if C4 or C2 just looking for unique color combo, sub 50/60k miles and well cared for. All I get offered is red, white or black. It is exhausting.

Sure thing...will let you know.

BTW, out of the last 20-years and over 1,500 cars, I've only sold 3 964 targas and two were white...However, one was the holy grail: maritime blue!

Your numbers sound about right. I know my odds are not great. Also 3 pedals is a must. Hope you remember if/when you come across a good offering. Thanks for the reply. All the best..
