wow! great post! thank you for including the links. Bob told me about those sites, but couldn't remember how to find them.
I have all of Bob's old paper documentation. I assume you have it as well, clubrcr, but if you ever need vin validation, etc, I've got file boxes that came with his car. This should be a roller coaster. I know of 3 cup cars FS beyond this one. condition ranges dramatically. price range swings dramatically too - $165k difference from best to worst. I wonder if a car like this gets the BaT mark up? or if the market is already so selective on these, that it won't. I love mine, but everything is for sale for the right price...
I saw that but it isn't half as interesting as the Cup car for sale. The cobalt blue car looks decent but is in rough shape. Paint should pop and this one is full of swirl marks that looks like someone took a scotch bright pad to.
The cup car is always of interest. I know most of the people and cars being mentioned in the sale banter. It would be nice to see RWinnie and some of the others bring their cup cars out again and see how they do against all the overwhelming number of GT3's and GT4's we see today. There was a time we had a half dozen of these out there on track doing what they do best.

Agree with that. They refer to someone who owns both a 964 Cup and 993 Supercup, and if it’s who I think it is, I see them at several events a year and always enjoy seeing them use their cars, and enjoy admiring their cars.
There’s also one 964 Euro Cup that comes out when he doesn’t bring his 6Gt3. He’s told me a couple times that people keep telling him he’s crazy for bringing it on track (and I think still racing it); it’s worth so much money. His response is, “what else am I going to do with it? Let it sit in the garage?”
Other than that, it’s all caymans and SPB and GT* as far as the eye can see.

Not a special car like a RS, but it's always great seeing the older cars play with their newer, bigger brothers.
Only air-cooled in attendance (and spent the most time on the track). Use them as they were meant to be driven.
Didn't ask the guys why they were lifting their engine lids...

I haven't seen a Supercup on track in at least 14 years. I always found those interesting but stupidly expensive to run with such high strung engines.

VIR you have me drooling. Yet another year goes by and I can't make it down there. One of my favorite tracks but IMO hasn't been the same without passing under the Oak tree. Maybe next year, we hold an event every year on my bday I need to get back there again. Looks like fun.
I'm committed to resurrecting the USCC website with some help from a few other owners. I'm also committed to dragging my dusty cup out of garage and driving it!

Agreed.
Not to mention, it's kinda fun showing up our young brothers.
