This car was listed recently on the pelicanparts forum for 70K if I'm not mistaken. Guess no one bought it there for 70K either. Looks like the seats have been reupholstered. The seats look greyish black, not the original black.

What are you looking for? A car to drive or collect?
Just looking for some prospective on the WB coupe from experienced Pcar owners. I passed on it because I didn't think I could handle that kind of refurb with my first car and needed some affirmation to make myself feel better for passing on it The 3.3 turbo is way outta my price range, I just listed it because it looked really nice and popped up on CL in my daily search.

I'm looking for a car to drive. Not really concerned with mileage, minor issues, or collector status. Although recently it seems every Pcar has collector status lol

Thanks for help

I think I'd rather double down and get a 993 Supercup for $160k...

I hear you. Sounds like you need a nice C2 or C4 they are the most fun and most reasonable right now assuming you can find a clean one.

Best Luck

I never thought this would happen, but if seller pricing is an indicator of market valuation, we have officially reached the point of 964 Carrera values surpassing 993 Carrera values (unless your 993 has a 2S or 4S on its ****, then its value is probably aligned w/ a 964 RS America).

I'm gonna cross post ^that^ comment to the 993 subforum.

I bought this one..after looking for a long while!

By the way, hopefully nobody here purchased the sister car to this one:
http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/4458068685.html

The other green car they have with salvage title due to theft, was not due to theft. Carfax said it was totaled at 27k miles in 1994 due to an accident. Let me tell you, the owner was not friendly when I found this out and the deal went south. By the way, it did have a theft issue in 1998?, and it might have been totaled again. So, atleast 1, not 2 salvage titles, title washing(at some point it got a clear title) and odometer was not correct as well. Some cars have stories..

The black one was the 4th porsche I tried to buy in the last few weeks, and the other 3 were a mess.

I said the same thing to my friend that owns a 993.

there have been 3-5 993s selling for around $35k in the last few weeks (still a whit one for sale on Pelican and a black one here)

964s have no reached the same price level, even highe rin asking prices.

indeed, basic 964 are surpassing basic 993 prices.
Especially given their age and milage.

You will pay $35k for a 100k mile 1995 993, and you will pay $35k for a 1991 150k mile 964.

more miles on the older car and the price is on par....

The rise in price is good news for us that already have them, not so much for Rennlisters on the hunt. I find it interesting how trends change with the 964 getting close to overtaking the 993. I wounder if this will hold true in the long run.

Would be interesting to know what the offer was that they accepted. Looked like a nice car.

$40k for a 1993 c2 would have been market today (even $42k), I would think a C4 would've fetched close to that.
